100% 5-0 white wash. You can’t win series with Crawley and Duckett opening the batting.

We struggled in Aus with two of our best in Cook and Strauss at times. So no chance with these two. Pope coming in at 3 also.
Our batting is not of a test standard. Our mindset is not test standard at times. Look at Brook great player but plays to many silly shots.

Bowling attack is ok.

So we need to start changing the way we bat lower down the order as we need runs from Brook , Root and Stokes.

Sorry, I don't understand - why do you think a 6 over flurry was going to be some sort of game changer?

Neither bad captaincy or luck, lack of prep IMO.

Going into game cold and you are not as fit, so mind goes and out of nick

Fair play - Of course a good start helps, but it was just 40 odd runs regardless of how quickly they were scored and we were still 120 plus runs behind. The Aussies were always going to fire back and when the deficit is the massive amount it was, you need more than a nice little start :(...

Looks like Hazelwood has had a setback but Cummins to return. Like you say we are away from home but these pitches favour seam bowling and our bowling lineup looks so much weaker without Jimmy and Broad and just bang average (kind of obvious I know), really need to unearth a couple of gems....
 
You have to wonder where the next generation are coming from with England, the only bowlers taking 40/50+ wickets a season are the 80-84MPH mob and Key has shut the door to them with a letter saying "unless you find 5MPH in your bowling you will not be picked"

Then the batting depth in England, well there is some about but its not massive
