Ffs I'm going tomorrow, already had to sort out a hotel and drive there to navigate the train strike and I'm not sure there's going to be any play tomorrow now! They should do an impromptu odi and make sure England bat first to save on refunds!

It's a difficult call, how good a preparation for an Ashes match would picking up easy runs against a tiring sub standard attack? Hopefully Ireland can make a better fist of it in their second innings and get a bit of respect.

I think once Ducks and Pope made 100s they could have declared and moved the line up on
 
Jack Leech out the Ashes. Going to be interesting to see who comes in.

Ahmed been getting decent runs this year, could step up but doubt they will risk him

It's a dificult choice for England, we do not have an outstanding spinner, but a few all rounders. Will we just use Root or go for Moen Ali or inexperienced Ahmed or Jacks?

Looks like Mooen, which as much as I don't like the lack of progression makes sense. Ability to tie up an end and also bats abit.
