Shame the young leggy isn't in the squad

Stuart Broad has been recalled to the England squad for the two-Test series in New Zealand in February.

The Nottinghamshire seamer, 36, who has taken 566 Test wickets, missed the recent 3-0 series win in Pakistan following the birth of his first child.

Rehan Ahmed, who became the youngest man to take a five-wicket haul on Test debut, aged 18, and fast bowler Mark Wood, are both not in the squad

England squad for Test series in New Zealand: Ben Stokes (Durham capt.), James Anderson (Lancashire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Harry Brook (Yorkshire), Zak Crawley (Kent), Ben Duckett (Nottinghamshire), Ben Foakes (Surrey), Will Jacks (Surrey), Dan Lawrence (Essex), Jack Leach (Somerset), Ollie Pope (Surrey), Matthew Potts (Durham), Ollie Robinson (Sussex), Joe Root (Yorkshire), Olly Stone (Nottinghamshire)

Yeh, him and Root playing in the crummy UAE T20 or summin

Not exactly Bazball but the Aussies are flying in their recent test matches
Next summer has the potential to be one of the best Ashes series ever

Aussie’s getting an absolute shalacking haha!

Only 2 Aussie wickets in the whole game have gone to seam, the rest gone to spin. Did the Indians prepare another ridiculous pitch?

Looks like it, saw Ashwin took some ridiculous figures

Imagine its all about home advantage and all that

I have never seen a day of cricket like this one......England taking Bazball to new heights

58 overs for the first innings, 325 scored and an declaration on 9 so they can get in to bowl under the lights

Unbelievable stuff

As it not on terrestrial or Sky TV its virtually gone unnoticed the game started, I was shocked when I put machine on to see NZ score and thought it's been raining or England been blown away. Declaring before 60 overs!!!! I can't ever remember England doing that, it's one in the all the commentators who ALWAYS moan about England batting on, but some idiot on BBC site thought England "had left some runs there" when declaring, those 8 or 9 runs the last wicket might have added was more important than getting Williamson and 2 other wickets?
