The all new Juniors/on-loan thread 2013/14

Mason didn't play today - hamstring - no luck with injuries the poor lad.

Pritchard had a dead leg so was 50-50, didn't play either.

Adam Smith on the bench again for Derby.

Have said that about Mason for a while; always injured....the guy has a lot of talent, just needs an injury free season and do some gym work

^^
Ta. Very similar to the 1st team..look good going forward but huge gaps in defence.

Kane not looking a happy bunny.

Spurs top of the 2013-14 Barclays U21 Premier League after the 4-2 away win at Chelsea.

Well OK, that was the only game played so far - Emirates Marketing Project play Fulham this afternoon.

A different format this season with 22 clubs in the League and everyone playing the other clubs just once (either at home or away) for a 21-game season.

The Top Four clubs then Play-Off at the end of the season.

The midfielder hit an unstoppable shot from 25 yards that arrowed home to hand the Robins their first win of the campaign in League One.

Massimo was joined in the starting line-up by central defender Grant Hall.

Adam Smith was an unused substitute as Derby beat Brighton 2-1 at the Amex Stadium.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Kane_(footballer)

It was Harry's 20th birthday on 28th July. I believe he has scored in about 4 consecutive games. That has got to warrant a bench place vs CP?

Will depend more on who else is available. Most likely Soldado will start and Defoe will be on the bench. That's our strikers in our squad sorted. If there's an open slot then he's be high up the list of youngsters to get in the squad, but he won't get ahead of players that we need to cover other positions.

LUONGO'S SPECIAL DAY

Saturday was a day to remember for Massimo Luongo.

The young midfielder's parents, Mario and Ira, travelled all the way from Australia to watch him play live for the first time in England.

Based in Massimo's home town of Sydney, Mario and Ira touched down at Heathrow at 6am and took their place at the County Ground for Swindon's League One encounter against Stevenage Borough.

Massimo, one of four Spurs players on loan at the Robins, responded with man-of-the-match display including a magnificent winning goal, a bullet-like strike from 25 yards, as Swindon secured a 1-0 victory.

"It was a big day," said Massimo, who joined us in January, 2011. "My parents haven’t seen me play in England, they haven’t been over so for them to be there and me to score the winning goal was something special. It made my day."

Grant Hall also played although Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard missed out through injury.

"Everyone has settled in and we're all enjoying it," added Massimo. "The fact we all know each other really takes the pressure off. We all help each other out."
