Surely the South African Market is not that lucrative for that level of player yet? I know he scored against France, but what really were we to gain marketing wise, seeing as he was a relative nobody and still is (which was often predicted)??

I think the key to this will be the kind of stories that Sky put out about these players in the next 7-10 days. If they steer well clear, imo, that shows that the ITK is real AND they know they got caught and can't risk their reputation as trumpers - especially with them having the chance to be linked to the current Newscorp Leveson turmoil...

Way, way before the Keys/Gray sexism thing, I remember their mics being left on throughout an Arsenal European match (I watched on a stream) where Keys was laying in to Walcott, calling him a prick in his pink boots

Could be fake, a very clever way for a fan to fake a news story I must admit, but definitely plausible that it's real

It's a lot of effort to go to really if you think about it though, if you're just trying to pass of false info you'd just make it up and post stuff on forums or whathaveyou so it seems like something thats not worth the effort to be faked and the voice is familiar.

The point of a hoax is to make it believable. Posting random ITK on a forum wouldn't cause this kind of discussion.

If it is a hoax, which is plausible, it's one of the best ideas for one I've seen yet. If so, I salute whoever thought of it.

It's too perfect. Either someone cheeky at Sky heard the convo and deliberately recorded it so it would get out or it's staged. My money is on ghe latter.
