Actually, it looks like a very good team. Aslong as Dembele helps out Sandro doing the dirty work, otherwise we`ll be too open. We dont want to be run over in big games!

Also, if we have Remy starting on the right, changing positions with Adebayor, we could be a bit all over the place. Annoying for the defenders but it needs to be worked on. Then you have Bale wondering on the right aswell. Im sure Avb will sort it out.

You were saying he is an AM. What else can you be saying if not disagreeing with Jol and Dembele both claiming he is a CM?

If Bale went elsewhere and was used as a wing back, settled as a wing back and was better there than he ever was as LW (quite possible, IMO) then guess what? I would call him a WING BACK! THat is what he would be. It seems you would insist on calling him a LW (forgetting we brought him as a LB :-" )

This is not something we will agree on. Clearly you have very.... different ways of coming to conclusions on what a player is.

sorry Crawley - I didnt see your post till I posted mine. i thought this thread was a general all -encompassing discussion thread. Is there a specific thread for tactics and players positions?

I wonder if the Remy deal is now back in the news because Afellay has chosen someone else? Didn't they say yesterday he had a choice between Spurs, Liverpool and Schalke?

If we really are back in for Remy, then i would think we always kept an eye on the situation and wanted to give Marseille a take it or leave it offer right at the end.

I havent ignored anything. I was responding to posts prior to yours before even seeing yours.

A solution was offered weeks ago and ignored. Leave this thread as is, have a second purely for rumour updates. Think of it as a news feed.

Simple enough, but instead now we have the threat of infractions just because some people cant handle skimming through pages to pick out rumours (which is really not at all difficult)

So how would people order the following in terms of their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th choices? *Obviously need to factor in the potential fees.

Dragaev (approx 20m?)
Affelay (Loan with view to perm)
Remy (approx 15m?)
Willian (approx 20m?)

Re the Twitter source for the Moutinho info as I understand it he's a respected journo with CNN. I believe he is hosting the Champions League draw this afternoon in Monaco.

So not a WUM as such, although who knows who his source is?

A bit of info re Jenas from Gazzashaircut on COYS

Saw Jenas in ****fosters yesterday, was a very friendly and open bloke, his missus is also fit.
Anyway, we had a chat and here's what he had to say....

On AVB: Very open and approachable, not too different from any other manager in that respect, is very different to what lads were expecting

On Ledders: Lads were gutted he retired, but had a feeling it was coming. Said the respect for him in the dressing room is massive.

On signings: Didn't give away too much, briefly saw Dembele said he looked well built, there's a bit of excitement around the prospect of Lloris, particularly with the French players. Said heard whispers about Willian, but nothing much more than that. Said JD is worried about another striker coming in, as he fears his national place will be under threat.

On Luka: Never caused too much of a disturbance, still acted like a team-mate until the day he left

On Bale: Said is a freak of nature! Reckons he could play 2 games in a day

On Him: Will just get on with it until something crops up, said if given choice of contact he's had would like to go to Sunderland.
Gotta say again he really was a top guy.

@Marcotti Obviously it is not official yet but source says both player wants to leave and Spurs want to finalise the deal.
