Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

sometimes people just get wrapped up with arguing a point no matter what it looks like..they start out probably believing it to be true and then info comes to light showing that it isnt but they still wont let go. To argue their corner is more important than what the evidence shows.

is there any chance that with regards to you pitching your tent in JJsets corner that this symptom could apply to you? any chance at all?

I think that's what you're doing with your stance against JJset.

He said Fryers was training with us. The line about 'verifying he is our player' wasn't written by him, and doesn't look like it even could have been written by him. It's entirely possible he was training with us and played a pre-season friendly for Spurs XI with us but ultimately didn't sign because the tribunal complicated matters. JJset hasn't said anything wrong here.

These guys do have some sort of source where they hear some things. They just do. They won't be 100% right and get the timings 100% correct because they aren't Daniel Levy, and because things can change. And they probably do exaggerate certain bits of info to make themselves look a bit more important than they actually are sometimes but they clearly do get some info passed to them. They've gotten things before the papers before and when they do no-one gives them credit.

Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

Fact is Fryers was training with us, he has even played games for us. Jetset said it was done subject to a tribunal and obviously we didn't want to pay what it would take, so now we've worked a deal with Liege instead to get around it.

So we'll sign Fryers in 2014. Done deal. 100% :-$

Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

Strong rumours Nani might be on his way out - any takers? Fantastic player but perhaps a step too far for our wage budget

Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

I really do think that the FA Spanish FA should jointly speak to UEFA about getting the transfer window closed mid-Aug. Both the PL and La Liga start then and give they're the two biggest leagues in Europe should have a lot of influence. Would be far better for everyone if transfers were finished before the season started

Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

It's amusing/disturbing reading this thread and seeing some folks who work themselves into a near self-abusing frenzy decrying the possibility that there may be people who are privy to a bit of knowledge and choose to share it with others. And don't get everything right or respond to every question or test - who had the laughable proposal of videoing an envelope being opened. Ha!
There's almost a slavering desire to see these 'ITKs' be wrong in order that they can be pointed at and scorned.

Psychologically curious.

The idea of someone opening an envelope live on Sept 1 came from one of the ITks saying that they knew who we were going to be buying as they had contacts who were so close to Levy/AVB. Most of the others simple pass on tittle-tattle however this one person (cant remember who, dont think it was one of the regulars) was so certain

Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

At the end of the day, if these ITK ACTUALLY had amazing sources deep in the op football clubs then a big fat newspaper would pay them big fat pay cheques.

I'm pretty sure Levy would notice if some unknown guy was on his iPhone in the corner of x player's contract negotiations. It's all made up.

I could start a new ITK account tomorrow - if I predict one transfer correctly I'll have free reign to make up as much flimflam as I want.

And the WORST thing about it all, is when I see some ITK about a player I want us to sign, I still get excited and believe it might be real until I remember everything I've just said!

He'll sign for Fulham. They have a statue of him in front of the stadium.

Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

Why is the title of the thread above every post? Annoying.

Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

I think Nani is pretty much stuck at United... he's already on massive wages and was apparently looking for something even higher like 140k! (someone on here will know)

Problem is that if he wants out I dont think he's good enough for a top wages bracket club like Barca, City, Real etc

He's gonna have to just accept his role as a squad player and just hpes he gets some games

:ross:

Love the way André uses an incredible fantastic range of extremely well chosen immaculate positives.

In fact, I don't love it, I find it breathtakingly superb with a good amount of intergalactic awesomness.

Fackin' 'ell, I'm well chuffed, I am. :D

Re: The 1060 pages and finally a striker summer transfer thread

'Andre, come on in. You're doing well, I hope?'

'My personal status is highly progressive, and..I am looking forward to the propositions that will emerge from this discussion project.'

'We call them meetings, Andre.'

'Meeting project. Very good name, looking forward.'

'Sigh. Well, we called you in here because we have some bad news for you; you can't sign Joao Moutinho.'

'But he is crucial to the success of the project...he facilitates good developments in the final third of the grass-covered performance zone!'

'Yes, we know, but...unfortunately, the fans don't agree. But don't worry they're debating as we speak and we hope to have a new man in by the week-end.'

'What is his nomenclature, and what position does he occupy on the tactical deployment area?'

'Erm...currently, their names are Lucas Biglia, Arda Turan, Thomas Muller, Leandro Damiao, Ganso, Willian, Yohan Cabaye, Gaston Ramirez, Nuri Sahin, Alvaro Negredo, Roberto Soldado, Marvin Martin, Xavi, Iniesta, Yann Kermogant, Andy King and Arcspace's best mate Stanley, judging by the last viewing we've had of the poll. But don't worry, I'm sure they'll decide before the week-end.'

I love you both.

Very funny.

Edit: Dubai, you should start a thread in which everyone has to speak like Andre.
