Fair enough, I still think that we would be okay with those four (Verts, Kaboul, Caulker, Gallas), but are you expecting Dawson to be 5th choice? I agree that a super-cheap option if we sell him isn't necessesarily a stupid thing, but there aren't many players that want to be far down the pecking order.
It's no different than the striker situation really, two good strikers and one young kid who's happy to wait for his chance.

Dont forget that we are selling Rose by the looks of it and Verts may be needed to cover LB which could leave us short in the middle especially as Gallas wont be able to make every game and will pick up injuries. No idea of Fryers is even fully ready for the first team.
