It still feels like quite a sensationalist take on it mate...You're implying that because Stevie wasn't first on the list that Jose didn't want him. Things would come to a head pretty quickly with any coach / chairman relationship if everyone expected to be able to get their first choice, the other team has to agree to the deal as well you know!
Scored the winner for Holland tonight, really think this guy is going to be a very good player for us going forward.
He offers more going forward but Lucas was doing outstanding at the end of the season at doing the donkey work Jose expectsI really like him. I hope he can overtake Lucas for a starting place going forward.

I don't know how to use the like button!I think we have very good options with them both, Moura has come on a lot these last few months.
Low-key, Bergwijn is the player I'm most excited for this season. Much like Lo Celso, there were flashes last season of a truly special player - but unlike Lo Celso, who has a long history of massively impressing with PSG and Real Betis, Bergwijn was coming off a few good seasons in the Eredivisie only, and so I had my doubts.
But he has burning pace. He has a great cross on him, and a sharp, instinctive finish. He works really hard, on and off the ball.
And, perhaps most importantly - he has a certain something about him when it comes to intelligence and decision-making. I can't quite explain it, but I'm quietly confident that, if Bergwijn's on the field, he will make the right pass or be in the right position to receive one at least once a game. Not to say he'll do it all game, but usually, one game changing moment like that per game is a sign of a special player.
In the dogfight between him and Lucas for a starting spot, I think, long term, we gain more from Bergwijn winning that battle. I've heard it said that Steve Hitchen was significantly involved in Bergwijn's transfer - if (if) he comes good this season, it might balance out the Ndombele disaster.
Best he’s played for a long time. Think we’ll see a lot of him in the EL, all he can do is keep taking his chance like last night.
The cheeky lob he tried last night would have been tasty
It is great to think we could have him and Moura running like Duracell bunnies at a team for an hour, then we can unleash Bale and Son on a shattered defence!Bergwijn has one hell of a motor, he kept running and battling all night long and the skill he showed for the 6th goal was sublime.
