***Spurs vs West Ham Untd***, PL, 13th September 2025 at The London Stadium

I am not disagreeing with you. Just trying to understand Frank's reasoning. I would like to think that he has access to more information than we do. For all we know Richie may have picked up a knock and simply cannot play 90 minutes.

Now it is up to Tel to take his chance.
Richie was poor against Bournemouth. Tel getting his chance now is competition. Can always sub early if needed.

I find the Tel selection odd. He didn't make the CL squad as he appears to be 3rd choice for both of his positions. If he is 3rd choice he shouldn't be starting tough EPL games when the players ahead of him are available. There could be some fitness issues of course, we dont know. But let's hope he smashes it anyway!

I agree, but today should be a piece of tinkle, they are absolute muck.

Not saying we won’t Spurs it up though.

Richie was poor against Bournemouth because he got no service he thrives on. Tel would have been equally bad.

I don't think Frank just dropped Richarlison because of that performance.

Injury, or just that we have to be a bit careful with him. Those long late travel days aren't exactly a great prep for a game and he certainly has previous with injuries.

He didn't make the squad because we lack club trained players, but still wanted a squad that could compete across CL, PL and domestic cups so someone had to miss out.

He may be third choice, depends how you look at things. Competition and some rotation was always going to happen.

Richalison couldn't hold the ball up, Johnson the same. So we couldn't get forward.

Everyone was dog brick against Bournemouth, Vicario aside.

Especially the manager.

I agree
But for me you pick the best team every game
Seen so many managers think a game ahead and flop with both
maybe this is the best team for TF considering the opposition and tactics employed

I do find the worry about Tel to be really surprising. We haven’t seen the best of him, because he joined a massively struggling team. But he’s a top prospect and clearly extremely talented. He’s not a no hoper, he’s young but he can absolutely perform for us.
i think many just prefer proven starters and young subs to come in at the end of games - especially when we're leading
