***Spurs vs West Ham Untd***, PL, 13th September 2025 at The London Stadium

We need to win this.
After 2 games I was Lording it over the one Hammer fan I know, saying they are going down.
They got spanked by Sunlun and Cheatski.

Next moment, we lost to Bournemouth and they thumped Forest.

We need to spank them back down, down, deeper and down.

I'd like to see

----------------------------------Vicario

Porro/Spence--------Romero----------VDV-----------Udogie

-----------------Paulinho-------------Sarr----------------------

----------Kudus--------------Xavi-------------------Odobert-

----------------------------Kolo Muani-----------------------------

But I would be a little surprised I wouldn't be shocked to see Spence on the right, and Johnson on the left.
Paulinho has retired...

We have loads of players for the left. Muani, simmons, tel, odobert, richarlison and johnson can all play there.
It's the left and right backs where we are short.
We'll have lots of games and injurys. Spence and udogie will both get plenty of game time.
We do.
Muani and Richi I see more as CF, Johnson and Odobert are better on the right, Simmons is better more central of the 3. Tel is the proper left option. All I was really saying is if we want to give Udogie game time it doesn't have to be at Spence's expense, being a wb he'd be very handy on the left of the front 3 as an option. 👍

I totally agree re Udogie and Spence.
Why would you not start Muani or Simons though?

I think we need to fold them in over a couple of games. Neither has played in the Premier League before, neither has played with most of these players. Even 60 mins on the bench doing some spot-homework on how we play (alongside our coaches who are as we've seen very pro-active) would be a huge benefit rather than throwing them right in. Porro and Bentancur played a lot during the break, and we can rotate them comfortably now, which is smart and preventative IMO. Spend that first-half winning the battles/winning the second balls and being agressive before introducing the craft...

My team would be

Vic

Spence
Romero
VdV
Udogie

Bergvall
Pahlinha
Sarr

Kudus
Richy
Johnson

After a break, with little 'main group' training, I think we need to start with familiarity and a little more balance. Then go the bench, which I'd have:

Kinky, Tel, Odobert, Xavi, Porro, Danso, Gray, Muani, Bentancur

I mean...look at that bench!!!!!!!!!!

Will Bergvall and Udogie be enough to balance what was very unbalanced against Bournemouth? Maybe, as West Ham are considerably worse.

For me at least Simons would be the "balancer". If he's seen as ready to start by Frank.

What a fascinating spell of games we have ahead. With all of the circus around the Levy departure, and now this weekend a London derby that the media like to hype more than we do, you can add in the likely weekly comparison with how forest get on that the press will inevitably begin to do. We literally have a pseudo barometer of how we might have done under Ange, in a very simplistic and inaccurate (main stream media) way.

This weekend will be a furious Spam crowd at Kudus, but their team has shown little to suggest they are going to do much other than battle relegation - the crowd will rapidly turn if we have a fast start, and after Bournemouth we are in need of a reaction.

I think Simon's and Muani will both start if Solanke isn't fit, definitely a Palhinha game where he needs to dominate the edge of our box and dictate the break up play. I don't think they will be able to live with us going forwards, and I don't see them having too much to give us problems at the back, Bowen can be Spence's concern, which he's been doing all week in training already...

1-3 to the mighty lilywhites.

Anyone predicting an easy win....hmmn, I would be happy with an away point, delighted with a win but the Hammers will be up for it big time....besides we should all know by now that with Spurs, optimism is often misplaced!

Ah West Spam away…happens every year at that soulless stadium. A fixture I don’t look forward to but also some fond memories aka Bale and Stalteri. Some new faces at Spurs and probably some tired legs around but no excuses. Looking for a response after Bournemouth but expecting a share of the points as they will be well up it. COYS
