Much like Bale, he is a player with limited shelf life but some awesome qualities. Bursts of unreal speed and great finishing abilities more than made up for slightly above average technical skills and vision/overview. But unlike Bale, Son chose to stick with us at his peak, even though he could have been a Liverpool player and more and won things. Players like Kane and Modric, who is more than adequate in all areas can play at top level until they're beyond 35. Son unfortunately, is not that kind of player. We could squeeze a couple of more good years out of him, but not in the role he plays today. He is still a good player as it is, but if we say he, alongside Richarlison, Bissouma, Sarr, Romera et al is good *enough* on their own, well don't come complaining when we miss out on being where we want, or rather expect us to be.
