Son Heung-Min

Part of the issue is none of them have really stepped up and made the position their own. Dunno why Moore hasn’t been seen at all recently. Not that his chance last night was easy, but can’t help but think the Son of old would have stuck it in the top corner.
100% he would have given the goalie no chance !!

I think he’s done at this level. That said, some have never liked him even when he was scoring 20 goals a season. Even blaming him for the atrocious defending when we lost 4-0 to Saudi Sportswashing Machine last season.

Exactly, put better than I did.

Some have never liked him and now are more vocal than ever. The whole "shirt sales" and other stuff comes up far too much considering what he has done on the pitch. 170+ goals and 90+ assists for the club.........puts him right up there

Could have agitated for a move years ago as well. The stick he got for the Saudi Sportswashing Machine game last season was laughable! The defending was schoolboy stuff getting done by long balls over the top but it was all Son’s fault for losing the ball 20 seconds earlier.

Son? I have never got that impression - i would say he's potentially our most universally popular player of the PL years (within our fanbase)
You would think, and I think on majority you would be right, but have seen for years a noisy minority who have always been heavier on him, two lean games "always been brick" crowd

I mean in fairness he has been either on the wane or showing signs of being on the wane for a while now - never felt it has been anything more than some supporters being quick to highlight that they could see it creeping in tbh

Thought he was better during the second half but he seems to struggle in a lot of our games this season. No doubt he has been a GREAT player for us but he is fading from what he was.

Of course but some have been predicting his downfall from year 2....now the broken clocks have hit the right hour, 8 years later when he is 32 and some seem to revel in the "told you so moment.

I haven’t ever met any spurs fan who didn’t like or rate him
I have however met and heard some racist tacos but the two are tied together imo
Son is a club legend
But he is also now a shadow of the player he was

His name is Yiddo. 🤣😅

Ps. Son has been my favourite player at Spurs over the last 10 or so years, moreso than Kane or Eriksen etc, but I'm gonna call a spade a spade. He's past it and it's painful watching him suffer due to the manager not knowing how to get the best out of him at this stage of his career.

At 32 we all know father time has caught up, thats never been in doubt or for debate TBF

Much like Bale, he is a player with limited shelf life but some awesome qualities. Bursts of unreal speed and great finishing abilities more than made up for slightly above average technical skills and vision/overview. But unlike Bale, Son chose to stick with us at his peak, even though he could have been a Liverpool player and more and won things. Players like Kane and Modric, who is more than adequate in all areas can play at top level until they're beyond 35. Son unfortunately, is not that kind of player. We could squeeze a couple of more good years out of him, but not in the role he plays today. He is still a good player as it is, but if we say he, alongside Richarlison, Bissouma, Sarr, Romera et al is good *enough* on their own, well don't come complaining when we miss out on being where we want, or rather expect us to be.
