Son Heung-Min

Yeah of course there's logic to that I agree - but Son is no longer a player good enough that you look to play a system that gets the best out of him.

Hes one of my all time favourites, but I would have real concerns if Son was anything more than a bit part player next season. Would much rather Tel/Odobert/Moore having the time to develop on the pitch....

We don’t know how much is decline and how much was tactics that completely negated his greatest attributes.

Nobody is advocating building a system around him at this point. We are just saying that, it may be possible that a fully fit Son within a system that doesn’t completely take away what he does best. May not be the busted flash that you make him out to be.

Either way, if we don’t allow a servant like Son to decide if he would rather stay or go, then we really don’t deserve any loyalty from any player in the future.

I have no problem if Son is still here next season, as long as he is only used as a player who is not going to be a regular starter and used when/if needed.

That is how it should be
We have 31 players so far for 22 European places
Of course we can have more in the league
We have to be much more ruthless
But… Sonny have earned the right to choose. I’ll stand behind that

As bedford intelligntly said Son has earnt the right to decide what to do and for us to trust him in deciding whether we are up for it.

Realistically I think Son should be a rotation player but I have no doubt in Levys own mental algothrim he will be considering Son a prime investment. That is to say... I feel Levy will consider Son's historical past peformances as reflective off his status in the squad, and any siignings we make may be negted by Son's figruative status as an "elite player" or what have you.

Levy doesn't spend much when he signs players but once he does he doesn't seem to have a good extenral perspective of when aging ones are past it.

I absoloutely dont want to get rid of Sonny at all. I want him to stay whilst we make a concious effort to bed in a potential replacment. But I don't feel thats how we do things and that if Sonny is no longer physically capable then it will be huge loss

His greatest attributes have declined, it's not to do with tactics. You do realise that he has been in centeral postions plenty of times yet has been incapable of finding the half a yard he used to? And that when he has shot, his shooting has been nowhere near what it used to be? That where he used to be able to burst past players when dribbling he now isn't quick enough to do that?

These things have nothing to do with tactics, he's not the player he was - I don't know why you're trying to fight the fact, it happens to all players. Hes 32 ffs, and has relied on pace and sharpness so it's not a surprise....
