Both of those squads had a vital ingredient missing. In the case of Harry's we lacked a striker. We used to make absolutely oodles of chances, but we had no one competent at finishing them. The best we had was a motivated Ade but even he wasn't a good fit because in reality he was a SS and not a goal hungry striker. Imagine that side with Kane in it, it very likely would have won things because at that point it would have everything. Control, creativity and importantly finishing.
Poch's side lacked the opposite it lacked creativity, we had Eriksen but thats all we had. He needed support, he needed competition, at times he needed a rest, but we never had another player of his attributes to help push him and keep him on his toes or just bloody help him create in those tight and difficult matches.
