Serious relegation fears

Pritchard is the only one that is close to the type of player Eriksen is ..

The balance of the team with Eriksen works, hence if I strongly believe we need to rotate him with a similar player. (Think back to last year when we often had too many similar type midfielders and the effect it had)

Mason used to play very much like Eriksen, before he got 'toughened up' and got moved back to CM. I think he'd be a useful option there at times (if Alli is keeping him out deeper).

We missed a trick when we dropped points against Chel53a, Liverpool and not finishing off Arsenal at the emirates. I have a feeling we will look back on a couple of games at the end of season (Stoke, Everton) and regret not taking maximum points. I feel we will only just miss out on a champions league place.

Whoever finishes 5th and 6th will be able to point to a number of games where they could/should have picked up more points that made the difference. And whoever finishes 2nd/3rd/4th will be able to do the same with regards to the title (depending a bit on the final point totals). Over 38 games all teams not super-duper-world-class will have a solid number of games where they could have picked up more points.

Too many players off the pace. Christian Eriksen has disappointed me in particular, he has been poor over the last few games and is meant to be our big player maker.
Time for some to up their game. We are aiming for a place that requires much more from all our players.

We will now see who can hack it.

Poch will get rid of those who cannot, next summer, that is for sure.

Some inconsistency is to be expected. If anything we've been more consistent than expected this season. Certainly not a question of players not hacking it. Other than Townsend I think all our attacking players look worthy of staying around.

Eriksen for me is not our big play maker. He is a player that needs decent service. Find him in a bit of space in or around the box and magic happens. If we don't provide him with that he will struggle and fade out of games. Pretty much always been the case with him.

Last season at least some were claiming that Eriksen and Lamela were too similar, even some were claiming that Lamela was getting in Eriksen's way.

With Eriksen, Lamela and Alli/Dembele it seems a fine balance to me. But replace Lamela or Eriksen with Son and I think the team should still be fairly balanced.

For now, at least in my opinion, Eriksen has done enough to keep his starting spot. But it's not as obvious as it was last season or this summer. Lamela upping his game, Alli breaking through, Dembele starting to provide goals in a #10 role and Son being brought in has at least given Eriksen some competition.

After yesterdays full on c%&k up we are still sitting a decent position and we will still push all the way for top four. Leicester are going to fall and Utd are well, just look at them. COYS.

If you've seen my posts, you know i feel this thread is two months too early....but also it's moot unless we vastly improve our game winning ratio, especially away from home...

United and Chelsea will both finish a significant point total higher than us. We're battling Liverpool for 5th.

Very strange statement; esp given your pronouncements on our chances of winning the EL..

Cups can be won through glorious on-the-night performances.

The long slug of league campaigns means just about all the quirks get ironed out and the final table reverts to mirroring wage bills.

Leicester are looking a shoe in for a top four spot. This is no flash in the pan outfit.
They were good today. But lost Drinkwater to a hammy and Huth is suspended for the next game so their defence will be tested. Such a shame to see poor wickle Cheatski struggling to avoid relegation

Mourinho has admitted top 4 is now out of reach. Not that you can believe anything that twit says.

I guess Leicester never got the wage budget:league position memo.

If Mahrez and Vardy can keep this up for the season, or Leicester keep hold of them in the Jan transfer window, then I think they will finish top 5 and it will be great for football. However, I have a feeling that they will lose one or both players, and the wage budget:league position memo will come into effect unfortunately.

It's mind boggling to me that names like Drinkwater and Huth are not only being considered 'crucial' in a top four push but a genuine title run.

What the fudge has Ranieri been feeding them? I think WADA need to be called in to investigate.

But seriously you have to be massively impressed with Leicester thus far... I'm still waiting for the massive fall from grace to occur.
