Davies is a good player (Reguilon is better), but it's no coincidence for me, Davies was his best when Rose was a threat to his position
He looked better yesterday (once he settled), he knows he has competition (so does a lot of the side now), can only be a good thing.

You make good points and i do not disagree, i hope Reguilon goes on to prove he is a great player ( he seems to be heading in the right direction) and i think Davies could still do a job for us and has the bonus of being able to play CB.

Will look forward to that happening. I know i have said it before but this could be a great signing for us, he has been over shadowed by the Bale signing but he looks a top player.
No we don't, we need a mix of established players and young players. Just buying players over 30 like Bale will mean you have a good side for 1-2 years and then it deteriorates quickly with no sell on value. Buying top young talent like Reguilon helps set up the team long term.

I think being overshadowed by the Bale signing actually could help young Reguilon. There is slightly less pressure on him to hit the ground running when the media hype and focus will be on Bale's performances.

Looks like we've got a fine player coming into the squad. And a feisty one. Fell out with Zidane for a bust-up with his entitled son, Luca, when they were at Castilla. Then, when promoted to the first team and playing well, chucked an elbow into the head of Sergio Ramos, leading to a training ground melee. Right on!
Sevilla's crafty director of football, Monchi, spotted his talent and won out over rival clubs for the loan of him, bringing him under the guidance of a former coach, Julen Lopetegui. From there, he's blossomed. Feisty and strong defensively, but now has added the element of attack to his game.
Gotta say, this might be the real prize in our summer signings. Not likely that he'll want to go back to Madrid after the way he's been treated there. Speaks decent English already and has long expressed a desire to play where his game is best suited, England. And his chick is a babe with a growing media presence. They look like a seriously ambitious couple that a move to London will do well to advance both their careers.

Anyone who elbows that taco Sergio Ramos in the head is fine by me.
He's going to get sent off repeatedly, isn't he? It'll feed the media narrative that our team is full of dirty players while other clubs get away with assault pretty much every game.

VAR is to send off Spurs players mate, look at the ref's positioning? he's looking directly at it and he felt that was a fudging yellow?
