Wasn't Bernstein FA Chairman or similar at the time and not employed by City?
Or is/was he to City what David Dein was/is to Arsenal when it came to FA matters related to Emirates Marketing Project?

He never really left... Only question being if and what kind of role he would have when his ban is over.

If there's any realistic chance of signing Savinho it looks like it will be a late one... Hopefully Paratici and Lange have the backup option, alternate option, just in case option and what the fudge are we going to do option all identified.

Agree. Whenever it comes out in the media and it's not wrapped up fairly quickly it almost always ends up not happening with us for whatever reason. With days rather than weeks left I'd imagine we've moved on tbh. If I was to guess, we will end up signing someone who has barely been mentioned if at all, like has happened quite a few times....

Yea this has always felt like a strange one to pursue to me. If City aren’t keen to sell we’re just wasting our time aren’t we.

But let's be fair, Levy isn't stupid. We have no idea to what extent we have been in for him of late or if we are at all. So much brick gets put out, this summer seems more ridiculous than ever.

If this deal is as unlikely as it seems, Levy would have moved on some time ago IMO regardless of what social media is saying who have a habit of using the same name again and again....

He probably considers City pretty much the card holder in this deal. ie you can't screw them to the floor in any way financially. They can take or leave things as they please. So it all needs to suit City.
Hence, you can keep asking but you don't have any leverage, so discussion is minimal
 
People seem to think we sit there waiting for an email from the other club and do nothing else, its quite funny really.
