Savinho

Yes
It’s an area we have players and acquired players only this season for
Seems odd and kinda not what we do
It's terrible squad, resource and recruitment management. It was bad enough with Tel, none of those three will get a fair crack of the whip in their favorite position. And then there's Mikey Moore. It's like we're doing a budget version or Real Madrid's recent left wing hijinks.

All I would say is if Spurs are willing to pay that sort of money for him, then they likely rate him higher than you do and/or believe they can develop him to a better level than you perhaps envisage.

As for the number 10 role:
1) It might well be that Frank doesn't want or especially require one for what he is looking to do within his system (I hope we do want one)
2) If we do want a 10, we are prepared to work on temporary solutions within the squad if our main target(s) aren't available yet and Kulu not too far away from returning
3) The window has not finished yet and this deal is simply closer to conclusion that the number 10 position signing.....
Hey I get that
I really do
And I rate him over all our left side options
But… it’s a fudge load of money
Put that down for eze and you get your 10 and left side fix

Got to say, for the money I don’t get it
It’s a huge sum for another winger who isn’t a goal scorer and doesn’t really do that
And he isn’t a good potentially great player
He isn't a good player?

I can see what you mean, for £60m or whatever you would like to sign someone a bit more proven and with more goals.

But I am excited because Savinho is a baller, compared to the likes of that donkey Timo Werner who was abysmal at football, just woeful.

He can sprint, but give Werner a big chance and he crumbles. That was like paying money for a chef who can run quickly between stations.

Whereas Savinho really has a lot of quality, so spending money on him is fine for me. I abhor when Spurs throw money away on the likes of Werner and Davinson Sanchez and Emerson Royal who can run but cannot PLAY.

But I agree it would be nice if he scored goals a lot more often. Solanke is going to be vital again this year.

Maybe MNC think they can sign Rodrygo and thus are willing to ship out Savinho for big bucks and kinda swap him out

£60m is getting you a talent City arent actively looking to sell but will sell if the price is too good to turn down and the player wants to leave. Its like Chelsea signing Palmer....he had 19 appearances for city and ZERO goals when they put down the cash for him

I don’t have an FBRef subscription but FWIW here’s the DataMB version…

Thanks mate
Brennan Brendan "Glennan Bonson" Johnson will be quaking in his boots!

Not aimed at you. To this day I still have a chuckle about the time Flav off Glory-Glory was trying to say Brennan Johnson but got confused with Glenn Johnson and said "Glennan Bonson". I'm chuckling now just thinking about it.

I have a mate who is a City season ticket holder and he has raved about him when he has seen him play. As he says City have so many players and it can be hard for some players to get a lot of games in the side. 21 years of age and can beat a man and hold on to the ball. Could be a very good signing for us.
