Sandro Tonali

A figure of little positive renown.
He may be selling a story we like but I think it's on a search for clicks and with about as much guesswork as you or I would employ.
It's less that he has less renown and more that he's focused on the Italian market. How accurate he actually is I don't know, but if you look through his posts and you see he really only deals with stories mainly related to Seria A clubs or Italian players.

Yeah but when it’s not flimflam and we fail to get players across the line it can leave something to discuss no?

You can’t use certain journos like Romano and Jacob’s to push your position. You either trust that they know what’s going on to a certain extent or wipe the floor with them anytime they post.

My personal position is that they are probably right we are bidding for certain players, but brick happens. And when brick happens it’s nice to keyboard smash and vent once or many times in a transfer window

Whatever floats your boat i guess,

Transfers don’t really work that way in reality.

Have we read that player has agreed personal terms? That normally comes nowadays before the 2 clubs reach final, final agreement. Never used to be that way. Now players can have personal terms agreed in principle with 2 or 3 different clubs before the choice is made. Perhaps I've missed it, but I've not read about personal terms with THFC.

Call me a grumpy pessimistic bastard but if we were getting either Tonali or Fernandes, it would have happened by now. We’re being played à la Eze last year

I think the difference this time is we haven't agreed a fee with the selling clubs

If we miss out on this guy because Arsenal end up getting Bruno done quickly i will be done with this ownership. I’ll go and watch lower league / local football i think.

Find this kind of take odd. Big deals tend to take a while to get done, how long has it taken City to agree Anderson? Also, we are not an attractive option right now, Tonali and Fernandes know there could be better teams in for them so not in a rush to sign on the dotted line - I saw yesterday it said Fernandes is happy to sign for Spurs but still prefers Man U.

At least they have got deals done early, trying to get big ambitious deals done early in the window done early and if not move on to the next target. Not sure what you're expecting for a team who have signed 17th twice in a row, as if real quality players are going to be desperate to sign on the dotted line about two weeks into the window. But easier for the Goons to get deals done quicker (and they aren't near concluding a deal for Bruno yet)....

Multiple sources have mentioned he wants to come here and some have even said we have an agreement with him over terms. They reckon Saudi Sportswashing Machine want £90m and we have offered £75m, just pay the £90m and get it done as if Arsenal pay what they want for Bruno then Tonali isn’t going anywhere.

Don’t think it’s anything to do with being an attractive proposition or not now, both players are widely reported to be happy to come and some saying terms agreed with the players already.

The issue is with matching the selling club’s valuation, or them just not wanting to sell.
