Pushed him outside onto his weaker foot instead of letting cut inside onto his stronger foot as he likes to do and when Saka crossed that ball there should’ve been no danger at all. It was only Lloris chucking into his own goal that was an issue, I bet that was a 0.01XG type chance.

Not seeing any stories on outs at the moment, need to get a move on. We're going into the season with 5 LBs - turning into perfection.

Windows open till Sept 1, does it matter going into the first game with them or is it OK to get rid before window closes?
 
Maybe its a case where the manager gets a clear look at the squad whilst we look to get in our targets, meaning that also if we miss targets we are not left short in areas and Ange can make a real assessment on who stays to fill in areas.

No but it takes time to offload players, surely the club must have known we'd need to offload these players and get working on it. 1 or 2 maybe for Ange to evaluate but having 5 in the same position where we can only field 1 is silly. Also costing us wages having them all here. If Reguilon and Perisic go that's 250 - 300K a week off the wage bill.

Yup, all twiddling their thumbs waiting for the last day of the transfer window to do anything, or, as you say, it takes time to offload players and discussions are going on...

Yeh look I agree to an extent, I get uncomfortable with the number of players we have 100%, but I also think there is a rationale to an extent to it give or take

I think we all know we'll sell 3 or 4, and have to loan out the other 10 we don't need. Then rinse and repeat in 12 months time. The likes of Rodon and Tanganga seem to have no interest whatsoever, and shouldn't be anywhere close to making our 25 man squad.

Ac Milan and Roma were accredited to have been interested in Japhet ... im sure there is still some interest. However I think we can afford to get rid on a cheap one as he is an academy player .... 100% profit and offset the price of Rodon

His agent is italian. Now i'm not a conspiracist theorist. But i suspect the interest was reported by him (or her).
 
Ever the optimist I'm hoping we can get a tune out of glc, sell Sanchez and Rodon and loan out some of the nippers.

Ange seems to want to plough his own furrow so it's possible players we've never seen succeed in a jose/conte side might flourish. Reguilon for one came with a huge amount of promise and with a better suited manager he might yet succeed.

I think there is just a lack of interest in many of our clodgers and I'm not surprised honestly. They are relatively well paid and we want decent fees for them and they've had years of poor performances. Noone is looking at the likes of Dier or Sanchez and thinking they really want that player.

The way to look at it is, if we were looking from outside would we want to sign any of our deadwood and the resounding answer has to be no. Sometimes a player has some redeeming features or you can think it just hasn't worked out for whatever reason but our lot don't really have that going for them.

I would expect to see loan deals happen towards the end of the window.

But I'm surprised Lloris and Perisic are still here.
Need to start telling them find a club as they won't be part of the first team next season.
