Rodrigo Bentancur

He cant be seen to be working, so like with conte when he first joined, he would have to watch training rather than taking part.

Anyway shouldn’t take long to come through.
 
Seems to be a fairly moderate amount of excitement about this lad. Had some discussions on the transfer window discussions before he signed too.

Really looking forward to seeing him play for us now. Seems more functional than super talented perhaps, but I think what Conte does with functional midfielders gets understated.

If he fits in well within this current system, and I see no reason to think that he won't, I think this will prove a really shrewd signing.

I think what we've been missing from midfield under Conte is a lot less than what we missed from midfield under Nuno and Mourinho. If he can offer even just a bit more on the ball than Hojbjerg and Skipp that can be a really solid step in the right direction.

The hope for me is that he can help us play through pressure and not get so regularly over run through the middle
 
I'm a big fan already - looked to have all the required qualities in abundance. I can't wait to see the Bentancur-Skipp pivot start to flourish

He looked like that at Juve but he never got the licence to drive forward
 
Mate of mine watches a fair bit of Juve and says this fella is absolutely dreadful. However, everything I saw today was the opposite of what he told me which is why he got a barrage of texts. Long may it continue because they’ll come back with interest if he’s proven right.

Only one game.

But juve fans are terrible. They litterally hate their own players. I'm guessing winning 9 titles in a row sent their sense of entitlement through the stratosphere. Now they aren't winning they are just full of bitterness.

Bentancur won 3 serie a titles with them, one with sarri. Sarri said of bentancur "he's not important, he's fundamental".
 
Got a feeling this guy is going to prove an excellent addition. Conte throwing him in on the back of a trip to South America shows he clearly rates him highly. One of those players who allows others to excel while quietly going about his business. Good poise and build for the English game.
