Roberto Soldado

Re: Official - Soldado

Was seriously underwhelmed last season but really hope he can find himself this time around. I'd like to see him, Kane, Eriksen and Lamela start on Sunday.

Agreed. Adebayor has hardly earned a guaranteed start after his display last weekend. Dropping players who have scored in the previous match is only going to halt their momentum.

Re: Official - Soldado

rumours of him leaving must be untrue then after playing in the europa cup tie

Not really... you can still play in the group phase with a different team to the one you were in the play-offs

Hope he stays though

His movement against the Cypriots was excellent - much better than Adebayor's. If his luck turns and he sneaks a couple of goals, he can become a totally different player - especially with Lamela and Eriksen behind him.

Re: Official - Soldado

How many goals did Soldado score in the league in open play last season? Costa's just scored his second in a game-and-a-half. We can make all the excuses we like for Soldado but last season was extremely poor.

I'd love to see Soldado being supplied by Oscar, Fabregas, Hazard

So would I. But, he isn't.

Prolly quite a few strikers who would like to be supplied by those three. Including Ade and Kane.

@WhoScored: Roberto Soldado: Has just scored only his third goal for Tottenham in 2014 (also scored vs Cardiff and AEL Limassol) #thfc

Have to say.... He was appalling tonight. He doesn't do enough in getting his body in between the defender and the ball and his confidence is clearly poor. One thing he was much vaunted for was his movement, but all is see now is a player who doesn't want to be on the pitch.

At one point Davies had a throw and any striker would have ran the line in behind to receive it in a dangerous area. He simply stayed In the middle with his hands on his hips.

He does not suit English football and his body language is all wrong. How anyone can even suggest he starts over Ade is absolutely astonishing. He is easy pickings for prem defenders
