I have stated clearly in the Everton thread where my issues lay. There was an assumption they were based on quotes legit or otherwise...unless there is a suggestion that his behaviour at the final whistle was a video ai deep fake

Can’t remember if it was this thread or another but I replied saying I can understand not liking him going straight to Tel in front of the cameras.
But you also said about how he acted in his presser, and that’s where I’m feeling differently. If a comment about body shape and positioning is not good then my line is just a bit different. If it was the fake comments about RDZ being ‘angry’ then I’d agree!
And there’s a broader issue about fake X quotes being posted here as if they are real, not directed at you. It happened after the game last week too. I think mods should remove them.
Absolutely - any quotes people suspect of being fake can be reported and we'll take a look.

I think people take it all a bit too seriously. They hang on every word like it really matters and I don't think it does tbh. Win, lose or draw the manager is gonna say something. Most of the time it's just performative. I don't know why anyone cares.

People will always take interest in what managers have to say with good reason. They are literally captains of the ship, theit views and philosophy encapsulates the club moving forward.
Thought Tel regularly received the ball and went at his man.....but I can see a small hesitation developing in Tel, and that's just confidence, and something like this will ebb it away.
I know he can play with full confidence, as I have seen it.
Maybe he wasn't doing other things RDZ asked of him (not forgetting he played 2 different positions the time he was on), but he wasn’t hiding
Have you heard or read many saying he was?
Anyhoo, I agree with you…from a distance as far as I could see he wasn’t.

It is absolutely to do with what he actually said in the presser; don't say anything. Don't open that door. Close it. I refuse to believer any player responds better to being 'coached in public'. So yes, our line is different.
I don't respond to those mate. If anything like that catches my eye, I head straight to the actual presser and see if it is in there and/or out of context.
As far as removal is conerned, well, that's going to increasingly become a lot of work.
I'd like life/the world to reduce the plethora of them springing up all over the world. I don't disagree with you, however I think that genie has left the bottle and it is down to everyone to discern (gawd help us eh?!!!!)...

Worth noting that X is awash with fake inflammatory quotes and De Zerbi seems to be a popular target (along with Rooney, Beckham and Roy Keane for some reason)
As a general rule, any long quote starting with the emergency red light icon are fake. See them every day on there.

Manager quotes are fundamentally judged through the lens of results, so analyzing their press conferences as if they exist in a vacuum is missing the point. Win, and quirky or blunt comments sound visionary; lose, and those exact same comments make you look out of touch or incompetent.
I think it's all performative anyway. If we'd won every game so far 3-0, RDZ could spout poetry and people would call it profound. When Poch spoke about the lemons, it got a few laughs, but no one really cared because the results were there. Frank mentions the obvious fact that we were going to lose some games, but because we were generally awful on the pitch, that statement became the defining stick to beat his regime with.
Win games and you can say whatever you want. Lose games and even the most intelligent, reasoned arguments won't save you. So maybe it's just me, but I really don't get why anyone takes what they say in these pressers too seriously.

Yeh I get your point but I am sure even you have used a managers words to judge a campaign or used as a barometer of mood etc despite the protests of such

When put under pressure of answering a question he has to say SOMETHING so he just starts talking and awkwardly mentions something that doesn't always make perfect sense, but he gets through it and fans think it is a deep nugget of purest insight. You could probably ask him the same thing half an hour later and get a different answer.

) holds a lot more weight imo.
