Richarlison

I’m sure he got fouled not long beforehand.

He may have got up for a second or two, but it was probably the tackle that did the damage.
Would be very surprised if the tackle had anything to do with it, his calf wasn't hit in that. It looked more like he strained the calf and then pulled up.

I remember him being on the ground and throwing a strop. The Pool fans around me in the pub started slating him assuming he was showing his angst towards the officials. I said immediately he's injured again. I was right.

IIRC he sprinted out wide and did the damage, then waddled back onto the pitch to ensure he was definitely not off the pitch, sat down and punched the turf.

We can't rely on Richie for more than 7 minutes any more, so we need to develop a system which doesn't rely on him.

I suggest 5-5-0 or perhaps 8-2-0

He's still probably our most likely goalscorer anytime he's on the pitch. I would move him on in the summer if we can get Delap, but I wouldn't underestimate him once he gets a bit of fitness and confidence into him

And there’s the issue, he doesn’t stay fit enough to play his way into form. Injured again. I guess Tel can now be our striker.

Are we rushing him back too soon?

Who knows? I think we need better player rotation next season. Whoever the new manager is that replaces Ange will have to be ruthless and decide who they want to ditch as they can’t trust them. That way the squad can be rotated as required. I say who replaces Ange as at this time it’s hard to believe that he’s not a sitting duck.

Just rewatched his injury run
It was a sprint ish to keep the ball in form Grays pass
He then walks 10 yards onto the pitch and pulls up
He looked fine sprinting

Even when fit this guy was never good enough. The fans have spun a 9 game spell where yes he scored 8 tapins blind their memory. This guy has been here 2 and a half seasons and that's literally all he has to show for his time. 9 matches where he scored 8 tap-ins, really? Sell this guy asap, he's rarely fit and when he is, he's not good enough anyway.

His book value must be £20m ish and his wages are £100k plus
I think he has 3 years left so that’s a minimum of £15m in wages
If we can get £20m for him and save the wages we can get something like Jonathan David in and pay him bosman wages
He would be better because he can move
