Richarlison

Agree. If Solanke comes in, and we're keeping Richarlison, I think that's pretty much it for this window, unless some bargain opportunity comes up come end of the window.

I still think we'll get Neto or Doue. Just not Eze (I'm not sure that's been on the cards since Bergvall arrived tbh)

How so?

The answer seems fairly logical to me, we're looking to strengthen to be able to compete on all fronts. As much as people might not like it, Ange definitely gives off the impression of being happy with Richarlison's impact.

It's probably frustrating even having to answer to made up press speculation but it's part of the parcel..

we also had veliz and lankshear.
Veliz is yet to prove he is good enough for this league.
As for Lankshear, he is a player with immense potential, not sure at 19 I would be satisfied with him being our first striker of the bench.

Solanke played in 38 league matches last season while he is already going to miss our second league match. That is a lot of pressure to put on such young shoulders

I chuckle to myself when I consider the number of people on here who suggested that when we buy a new striker and then sell Richarlison. As if one senior striker would have been sufficient.
But you must consider that we could replace Richy with another striker, one who is fitter, mentally and physically, to be an option for the coach.

Yeah, whilst Richarlison looked good when he was match sharp last season it sadly looks like he’s become as injury prone as Lo Celso and perhaps playing in a less demanding system / league might be better for him.

At this point I would like us to get a striker in Jan. Cos honestly either our physio needs to be better or we are just always unlucky. I'm now at a point that if Richy name does appear in a line up I'm in shock. Then think. Give it 3 days and off he pops again

that's almost 200 days sick leave over two seasons
more than 3 months out per season.

2 months out in his first season for us, 4 months last season… hopefully the trend doesn’t continue!

It will
Unfortunately some players can play through pain and some can’t
Richy also has other challenges that he has been public on and that may affect why he isn’t fit enough
What makes no sense… again… is that he was using the summer to get fit. What happened

i think players come to spurs to recuperate or seek a better quality of life.
- bentley gave up the game after playing for us
- ndombele looked like it
- lo celso, richy giving our new rehab team new challenges
- solanke and odobert making sure that the coaches through the years have the same headache

Richy looks more and more like a disaster signing
And he was prem proven
In gutted we don’t have lnakshear for to take over that back up role
