Politics, politics, politics

Probably wishful thinking on my part wanting this to be true but an interesting read none the less

I suspect all of the tactics/options set out there will be considered, and some of them will be used. (And if Merkel does want Article 50 delayed, then we need to use that to our negotiating advantage). It is an interesting read, and sounds fairly plausible. However it does somewhat depend on May operating in a political vacuum, where she can just distract the dissenters by 'keeping them busy elsewhere', whereas of course in practice every move on this topic is going to be under very close scrutiny.
I found the tone of the article a bit patronising, tbh.

So how do we view the rate cut?

In a very narrow, personal way for me it's good in as much it means a few quid off my mortgage. But I can't pretend to be an expert on what it means in a wider sense.

Carney also talking about the possibility of a further cut before the end of the year.

Like most things in Britain, great if already have property, crap if you are trying to save.

Seems more of a token gesture than anything else - "we need to make a tiny tweak to stop catastrophy"....."be very careful with your policies and public politics Mrs Government"....."yes, you lot voted to tittering on the edge"

I had never been a fan of his politics but I had to begrudgingly admire his moral stance and refusal to lower himself into the politics of lying, till now anyway.

Add to that I read a quote on the Sunday Times from the guy organizing the doctors strike who said he wanted to coordinate with the teachers and rail unions so they could get ride of the government, seems it was less about working times and more politically motivated, pretty sound all round.

Corbyn promises a different kind of politics, this is a stitch up by the establishment.

I guess there will be a few posters on here who were unhappy/ crying :D with the Brexit vote will be hoping Owen Wilson gets the leadership job for Labour after this piece of nonsense.

Owen Wilson has as much chance of being leader of the current "labour party" as I have of playing for us.

AND

The only ray of light I can take from the 'current shambles' aka 'The Labour party' is it might lead to a new series of the 'The Thick Of It' as there is much rich comedic material in the current farce.
