Absolutely. People are angry. People are fed up. People are tired of being told that if you are white, male, past your 20s, believe in social conservatism and pride in your country that you're a gammon, pale, stale and male, that your opinion not only doesn't matter, that it is something that must be fought against as "dangerous" or "extreme".
Clive's mate won't find the right answers at this type of event. If he feels comfortable engaging with this type of 'community' he's on track to become just like them.Did he ask him why getting rid of Muslims would fix all that?
Because that’s what the Robinson and the other march organisers think, and they assume everyone who came to support them agrees.
But Luton said every single person on that march was far right though !!!
So despite the history, despite the lesson, despite the warning.....you will walk down that path? Give your head a wobbleAbsolutely. People are angry. People are fed up. People are tired of being told that if you are white, male, past your 20s, believe in social conservatism and pride in your country that you're a gammon, pale, stale and male, that your opinion not only doesn't matter, that it is something that must be fought against as "dangerous" or "extreme".
People are tired of being told they're brain washed by extremists but then "women can have a penis" must be accepted or you're a homophonic bigot. And we are the ones "brain washed?"
I didn't vote for anyone last election. But I am absolutely voting for Reform next time. Why? Because the traditional parties have utterly failed and exist in an empty vacuum of scandal after scandal and broken promise after broken promise. As a social and economic conservative, the greens and Corbyn are not the answer. The alternative is Tommy R and the far end of extremism. So there is only one place for me to go. A bit too far to the right than i'd like, but the best landing place there is right now.
The lesson from history is that Hitler was supported by the majority of the German people. They tolerated en masse the segregation of ethnic and religious minorities, and disabled people. Why? Because France and others pushed economic punishment and political isolation on Germany as punishment after WW1, by the time of the rise to power of Hitler, economic conditions in Germany were horrific. Hitler put food on people's table. Hitler restored pride in Germany. Hitler was the only option people had to survive and feel safe in the end. That's the warning from history.
I said it was a far right march, now if you have any ounce of integrity you will show me where i said they were all far rightBut Luton said every single person on that march was far right though !!!
Yes i will because its about choices narrowing to the least worse option. Didn't vote last time because darn if I was lending my vote to the tories and while I wasnt going to endorse them I was indifferent to Starmer and co getting in as I thought they seemed relatively harmless technocrats that would just keep things ticking along steadily. Unfortunately I was wrong, the chaos, corruption, utter contempt, constant scandal and flip flapping from one policy disaster to another is as bad as under Johnson. They need booting out. But they are worse than Johnson as at least he had Sunak running the economy. What we have now is a slower, prolonged crash than under Truss. Inflation is growing, growth is flat lining and jobs are going. So despite the history, despite the lesson, despite the warning.....you will walk down that path? Give your head a wobble
I've suggested before that maybe looking inward has a greater chance of some hope....and moving you to feel better.
If people think Farage et al are looking out for them (ultimately) they have a massive blind spot. (That's before you get to people like yaxley-lennon). It's not hard to compile a list of things they've said that any decent human being would think is plain wrong/nasty. Yet people will see past that because they're going to be 'delivered' something (what is that going to be?)
Yes, there are problems with the country, there always have been BUT we've rarely seen such reactionary times.
People are annoyed/angry simply because finances are tough, and are detached, disenfranchised, unheard, lonely because their reality is now formed via their smartphone...you can't spend that many hours per week on there and it not influence/define you (especially when taking into account the way SM is coded). The timeline of SM and what we see now is no coincidence.
How was that a far right march?I said it was a far right march, now if you have any ounce of integrity you will show me where i said they were all far right
Er....don't vote again, as your vote would contribute towards something happening that you might not like. Even if there are some things you do like, that should not be enough to risk the things coming to pass that you dont (won't) like. Has history not taught you anything.....Yes i will because its about choices narrowing to the least worse option. Didn't vote last time because darn if I was lending my vote to the tories and while I wasnt going to endorse them I was indifferent to Starmer and co getting in as I thought they seemed relatively harmless technocrats that would just keep things ticking along steadily. So you tell me. Where do I go as a social and economic conservative that wants the current government out?
Probably reasonable (probably not debatable) to think that the people organising it, and speaking at it are far right?.How was that a far right march?
How was that a far right march?
I said I want the government out. I want to vote against this government so I repeat - where do I go? What am I not going to like about voting for Reform?Er....don't vote again, as your vote would contribute towards something happening that you might not like. Even if there are some things you do like, that should not be enough to risk the things coming to pass that you do (won't) like. Has history not taught you anything.....
BTW you come across as a rabid maniac when talking of the government situation (and I can guess where that comes from).
I'm not defending them when I ask you...what are major (or minor) affects they are having on YOU at the moment? (Or since they took office)
My latest definition is that you can say “Hitler put food on the table” with a straight face.Depends how you define far right. By any definition Tommy, Katie Hopkins and many of the other leaders of it are far right. Let me know if there is a definition of far right you know which I am unaware of pal.
Not sure Tommy Robinson is actually far right. I’ve seen a lot of him these days and he is not a racist. And he has not said anything indifferent about Islam as even the Quran says. I get it’s a stick and an easy win for those that don’t agree with his views on that religion to portray him as some sort of bigot. But religion is like a book out of Harry Potter it’s there to be critiqued in a free world.Depends how you define far right. By any definition Tommy, Katie Hopkins and many of the other leaders of it are far right. Let me know if there is a definition of far right you know which I am unaware of pal.
How was that a far right march?
You say any more you maybe considered a racist.I said I want the government out. I want to vote against this government so I repeat - where do I go? What am I not going to like about voting for Reform?
A rabid maniac? I want politicians in charge that are transparent in what they stand for. I want politicians in charge that don't say one thing and do another. I don't want to be a global embarrassment with the Chancellor crying in Parliament. I want a leader that can control his party and get key policies through such as welfare cuts.
In terms of me and my family, my job isn't secure. The need to cut a tonne of cost at work - thats the business strategy in response to higher operating and employment costs and poor economic growth forecasts: a direct result of the policies of this government.
I am being asked to pay more for everything in the meantime. The school is constantly asking for money as government funding isnt enough to keep school dinners on the table.
I am now being asked to pay £300 a week for wrap around care. Council have reduced bin collections and closed the local recycling centre but put up council tax.
I could go on and on. These are consequences of successive governments. This one is simply taking us further in the wrong direction.
Yeah I come across as a rabid maniac - I am f*cking fuming at the absolute state of the country, working harder for less and the narcissistic f*ckwittery we have rammed down our necks on a weekly basis from those in charge.
