Yes the Epping situation is toxic and given what has happened there (or I should say alleged to have happened there as the trial is ongoing) it’s not surprising that there is local concern. But it’s been hijacked for purely political purposes and it’s only gong to get worse. The irony is we actually have a government that is trying to tackle the issue, unlike the last government which was happy to use it as a political football.

You can't have a conversation when monetary social media oiks like Brooks and Tuffs hijack it.

This is where I struggle.....I don't think I am more intelligent than other as claimed on here,,,,,,,,,,,but I can see a grifter who is laying it on more. THe only winners of the Epping situation are those that have monetised it

The tories are done. Who cares who their leader is. Total irrelevance. Unfortunately the failure to deal with immigration for 30 years has meant the government have run out of road. People were promised clamp down on illegal migration and net legal migration in the 10s of thousands over 15 years ago. The can has been kicked down the road to the point that blood is boiling. As far as this issue is concerned, people are sick of Labour, even sicker of the tories and I was watching Rory S and Aly Campbell podcast and they made the point that Labour didnt say in their manifesto and election campaign, "this is a big, complex problem and it will take time to sort out", they said "we are going to come in, smash the gangs, and stop the boats" and instead we've seen record numbers and arriving.

Despite the numbers of those in hotels actually reducing under Labour the hotel issue has become symbolic for people...as in, you're taking these people, giving them money, putting them up in a nice warm hotel for free, giving them legal advice and assistance with their Asylum Claims and meanwhile there are people living in sh*thouse housing going to food banks and scraping money together to put beans on toast on the table after a hard day's shift and it boils people's pi**

They must be living in increased fear, both of the violence outside, and also having their location revealed by social media posts.

Hmm. Are they normally mixed though!? I thought hotels housing asylum seekers were just for asylum seekers. If there’s evidence they are being used to shelter victims of domestic abuse as well then I would have an Issue with that given that victims of domestic abuse are largely women and they don’t need to be accommodated in premises holding 100+ males.

This is people's problem. Always comparing themselves (or their lives) to someone else. Everything is possible in this country, depending on the effort you put in, how you operate, and the decisions YOU make. Yeah, there's probably some luck, sometimes.
I never think of what someone else has got, what's the point?..Most likely it ends in envy, jealousy and bitterness. Focussing on yourself is much more productive, but of course, can be painful sometimes.
The asylum seekers don't control what the government give them, or provide for them., so to hate, abuse or burn them is misguided. There must be another reason ?

I think he means the victims of domestic abuse.
Last thing they need is being spotted in a news report and their abuser finding out where they are.
