Well i am a *checks notes*Nope
Detail is expected of political parties making claims, it's a real simple expectation
Long posts of drivel on this forum isn't detail
Simple differences that you seem to be struggling to grasp
Well i am a *checks notes*
bigot and racist being sucked in by grifters that spends my spare time up lamp posts flag shagging, coked off my bonce, pi**ing down side streets and painting wonky flags on zebra crossings....so is it any wonder i'm struggling to grasp things?
Yeah I had a job counting owls once. Got sacked though as my boss was Irish and when I said "tawny two" he wrote down 22.So just counting owls in the countryside then Skips?
Erm.....you sure about that?I didn't say he didn't say it. I said that he didn't row back on it and there wasn't any contradiction in the comments he made where he said the press reporting was wrong, wrong, wrong. I said the press had conflated his answer to a specific question by a journalist talking about women and children that had arrived by small boat and whether they would be detained and his policy relating to.tje detention and deportation of illegal immigrants that were already here, where only single males were discussed during the policy launch and press conference. I also said that even in relation to small boat crossings the full Farage and Yusuf announcement had opened up on the fact that while the aim would be to detain and deport everybody arriving by small boat there were challenges and complexities within that policy, particularly in relation to unaccompanied and undocumented children (who may not even know where they have come from or where they should be deported to).
Accuracy?Yes he did.
But I think this is actually a really important point that I want to stay on, in this thread.
Because the type of journalists that do this reporting and the type of people that post the stuff you do on here are, i'm afraid an absolute encapsulation of everything many people are utterly sick of in this country and its politics.
You and others think you're better than Farage AND more importantly, those who vote for him and those who listen to and agree with at least some of the things he says.
Luton Spurs for example is accusing me of "cognitive dissonance", which fundamentally means that he is saying i can't see the wood for the trees. He believes he is better than I am because he can "see through" Farage.
You and others like you will say stuff like Farage offers simple soundbites to complex solutions and you want "adults in the room" that acknowledge and engage with complexity. You like to think that your intellectual superiority means that you can see through lies and you like to actively mock people you believe are beneath you.
Yet Farage and Yusuf spent hours discussing various policies on illegal migration:
- The detention and deportion of those arriving by small boats (where he referred to absolutely everyone) and in response to a specific question about women and girls and unaccompanied children he confirmed that they would all be detained but also accepted (which is key) that unaccompanied children represent a much more complicated picture. In the full extract of the speech he talks about the complications and potential difficulties of the policy. Labour's immediate reaction to it for example stated "he can't even confirm his policy on women and children". Well which is it? He's either contradicted himself or he has talked about the complexities of implementing the policy.
- They also discussed policies related to illegal immigrants that were already here and discussed plans to detain and deport the estimated over 650,000 adult males already in the UK illegally.
- The press conflated the two issues including in the question he was asked in the second clip and so it was explained to the journalist that only adult males were discussed in that context, and reports otherwise were "wrong, wrong, wrong".
Sharing and voicing opinions based on soundbites and spliced together clips rather than accounting for the full information picture is exactly the behaviour you and others look down upon. "The right wing press and influencers just deal in inaccurate soundbites and fake news....
....then we will get the response "well i'm not interested in what Farage has to say so i'm not listening through his speech and news conference....i'm not going to engage with the EDL idiots flying flags, I'll avoid them.
You get the snide comments about them flying the flags at half mast as they're too thick to realise flags should be flown at the top of the pole. Which is ironic when the person making such a comment didn't think about the maximum height of a domestic ladder being the actual reason.
If you're unwilling to engage and unwilling to understand then fine, its a free country. But its the fundamental hypocrisy, superiority complex and unnecessary hostility and condescending attitude that people are sick of.
And Farage is doing a fine job of tapping into it in my view and i am more and more likely to throw my vote Reform's way with everything I see and hear.
I am.Yes he did.

Yes. And I stand by what I said there in bold.Erm.....you sure about that?
He very clearly stated they would "detain and deport everyone arriving via that route".....
"He's right though. You would have to be a bit dim or desperate to make out there is any contradiction there. In the first clip the question and answer was about detention NOT deportation"
-(that's a quote from your post. Just FYI)
........
Not a fan of words eh?Yes. And I stand by what I said there in bold.
I must be a fan of words, because apparently my posts are too long....Not a fan of words eh?
Wow. The amount of gaslighting you get through you'll cause a supply shortage.
Honestly, get some counselling. I mean that with sincerity.
They are.I must be a fan of words, because apparently my posts are too long....
You see? I love words! They are.
