Paulo Dybala

These are exactly the sort of disparagative comments I was talking about that I have heard ad nauseum when we are linked with players in unglamorous teams (I remember the same things said when we were linked with Ashley Young in his Watford days)

Since when was David Moyes the best manager in the world? Sheffield United have just bought a nobody striker from Swansea for 20 mill. The scum have risked 72 mill on a winger with a history of lasse fare and no guarantee he will settle into the premiership. Value is set by the market - not the player.

The only reason he has not moved on is because he was stupid enough, naive enough or badly advised enough to sign a new contract. Otherwise he would long have been playing in the Champions League

I wasn't disparaging zaha, just saying when young anyone can flop.
Was he a moyes signing? Wow time plays tricks on you.

I actually don't think he is better than Moura who is pretty decent but not top class. Moura has infinitely better passing in terms of technique, range and vision. He's a far better finisher also, Zaha is very wasteful. The only area Zaha beats him on is dribbling and that's mainly down to his superior upper body strength.

That's not a good enough reason to invest in him, he is worth a maximum of 35m to my mind.

You don't want a squad of identikits, he offers something different to our other inside forwards and can cover for Kane. He would not be a priority for me but if there is a deal to be done, he might be worth considering. If I was Levy, I'd be tempted to put in a low offer and leave it on the table.

A low offer won't get anywhere, Palace have no need or desire to sell - the only danger of him leaving them was if he kicked up a fuss with the Arsenal offer which never happened.

In which case we move on. He's made it clear that he wants to leave and doesn't have a lot of other options. Palace might be tempted by a low fee and some fringe/youth players rather than have an unsettled player on their books.

And it would be laughed off.

Signed a new deal last summer, no need to sell.

That's fine. I only think that he is worth considering at a decent price but if he is agitating for a move, that might be possible. Especially, now that there don't seem to be any competitors for his signature.

Unlikely.

I think a random club will come in and offer 60-70 for him.

Munich maybe

I don’t think he will kick up a fuss either.

I would like him at spurs, can play on wings and up front.

Dybala is a class player, so not trying to get too excited about these links - just seem very improbable. Would be an incredible statement of intent though if we could pick him up

Not necessarily, if he goes to a non CL team he will lose money on his endorsements, maybe he's asking utd to make up the difference.
Or maybe he just does not want to go to utd.

Is that for a fact or just a guess ...

I can’t say I’ve seen him endorse anything

He isn’t a big star in Argentina football and would the national equivalent of someone like lacazette I guess for France

Pure speculation, as just about everything in the transfer thread is.
He will have kit deals and if he has any kind of decent agent I would expect him to be getting better money for appearing in CL, especially late stages with juve, than he would get playing in EL.
It's about exposure isn't it.

Palace owe (I think) 25% of any sale to Utd. They tried to negotiate it away as part of the AWB deal but Utd wouldnt budge.

Personally I think £60m isnt unfair for Zaha. And Palaces £80m demand? Well they keep £60m of it...

Thats why they wont budge on price, he is worth more to them as a player, and thats why he wont go anywhere - nobody is paying £80m for him.
