Pape Matar Sarr

Of course

But I’m not sure how even a super fit athlete can last without eating at this level
I used to work with a Muslim who used to pig out before sunrise and then again in the evening. Said he felt like he was cheating but did not care.

Bigger issue is what they will all do when it is proven that we gave been visited by intelligent lifeforms from other planets. Their whole belief systems will be shattered.

Islam is centred around a meteorite.

It's not fitted properly. I also have a couple of those outfits.
From Senegal? Note that there are differences across and within West African nations. You may have the style referred to as Senator which is a lot more fitted. There is the other more relaxed type like this one which I tend to wear for everyday stuff.

Personally, I appreciate a well flitted outfit, think it makes the difference.

And I don't know anything about Senegal, I'm only familiar with Lagos.

Just watched the highlights from yesterday, and thought I'd lift this thread up from page 3 with a bit of praise for the young lad's involvment. His interception startet our move for the first goal and he scored the second himself. He also showed a brilliant piece of skill controlling a long ball in the build up to the third goal, followed by a smart pass to Kulu who laid it off for Son's shot whose rebound was scored by Solanke.

Not a bad day at the office!

Absolutely.

I would like to see some (more/clear) improvements in his quality on the ball at some point. But what he does offer with running, defensive cover, pressing, intensity and mentality really is super useful. More so in some games than others.

Yesterday was a good day in the office in the end, but his limitations on the ball was also a real problem for us particularly in the first half imo. Could have cost us.

Seems like a really good character too, very happy for him to get that positive experience the way the game played out. Probably hasn't been the easiest going from being pretty much a nailed on starter to being (seemingly) behind Kulusevski and Bergvall (for example) being brought on instead of him at times.

Great post.

I think we all hope for a 55 game season, meaning that players like Sarr are critically important to the squad. I guess the only problem comes in 2025 if we're out of competitions and these players don't get pitch time.

For me, Sarr is a second half player. When his opposition are tiring a little, he's just constantly in their face. It's a beautiful thing to watch when he's at his best. Last season he had an 88% pass rate, 3 goals and 3 assists, even with the injuries.

Just shows how strong this squad is becoming.

I honestly do not understand how you think he will get better on the ball. It’s just magical thinking at this point.

He will improve his timing and his choices but his skills? No.
