Other Premier League Matches Thread

BT sport keep making out that Everton dominated Spurs for 90 mins. They were better first half. We were better 2nd half.

Well some things don't change...

@OptaJoe: 73 74 - Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten home record as a Premier League manager currently stands at 73 74 games (W57 58 D16). Stronghold.

@OptaJoe: 18 19 - Everton have won none of their last 18 19 Premier League trips to Stamford Bridge (D9 L9 10). Battle.

@OptaJoe: 5 - Roberto Martinez has now lost all five trips to Stamford Bridge as a Premier League manager. Heartbreak.

I'm convinced it isnt, for me its definitley the cost of tickets/travel,etc; it really is pricing out your typical 'old school' footie fan (your chanters/vocal supporter) and more seats are being taking up by your Johnny-come-lately daytripper, or as Roy Keane would say, prawn-sandwich phalanx.

Not just the crowds becoming more middle-classed but middle-aged too, according to the latest official EPL survey the average age of fans at games is 41 nowadays. Very difficult for anyone on the typical wage level of an 18-30 year old to afford to go to games on a regular basis and only natural that a bunch of fans in their 20s would be more boisterous \o/ than a group of people in their 40s and 50s who have become jaded and cynical from having seen it all before :|
