Suarez would have to have a rhino's hide to make a move to an English club.

Arsenal had a fantastic run of form to deny us ECL last term. It ain't gonna get any easier for us to get success if they flash the cash as well. If only Redknapp....

Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke is wanted at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have turned their attentions to Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke after missing out on PSG-bound Edinson Cavani, reports Goal.com.

Cavani is closing in on a move to the Ligue 1 champions, with the Blues unwilling to meet Napoli’s £54.2m valuation of the Uruguayan international.

Belgium international Benteke scored 19 goals in 34 appearances in a stunning debut season in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Tottenham and the north London outfit remain favourites to sign the £20m-rated former Genk star.

Chelsea are also keen on Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski but the Pole looks almost certain to remain at the club for a further season before joining Bayern Munich next summer.

It is understood Mourinho has identified a striker as one of the three positions he wants to strengthen this summer, with £50m flop Fernando Torres and January signing Demba Ba both likely to be sold.

Benteke’s Belgium international teammate Romelu Lukaku will be welcomed back to Stamford Bridge after a successful season on loan at West Brom but Mourinho regards the 20-year-old as a back-up, rather than a first team regular.

ideal scenario imo, like for like so if one is injured or needs a rest then the other can simply slot in without any fuss or disruption to the team

Bony is the better player.

But I do agree, £6m is cheap. Interestingly, I wonder if we had shown interest in Altidore if we'd have got him for £6,000,000 and it's just the fact it's SUnderland they got him for £6m.

round about the same age, Bony is better.. I suppose he should be double Altidores price, but what has Altidore done to be worth more than £6m?

Same could be said for Bony and his 14m price tag.
