WTF, he got stretchered off for cramp lol. I was expecting 2 weeks out with a muscle injury etc. I'd rest Eriksen, Lennon, Dembele and Ade for this one all the same, they won't play their first string and we shouldn't risk injuries when the league is more important.
Naughton--Dawson--Veljkovic--Fryers
Chadli--Capoue--Bentaleb---Holtby---
---------Lamela-----Kane-----------
That is a joke, right?
If he gets carried off on stretcher like a dying swan and all he has is cramp then it is funny.
All right, then.We were a goal up away to United and being put under real pressure. Instead of limping off (like he apparently started doing) he sat down, gave us time to ready the substitute and pass some instructions along while he was getting on the stretcher.
Cynical and the right thing to do in that situation.

I was gutted when I saw him stretchered off. But now I see it was time wasting. Makes all my anguish seem worthwhile.
You certainly would not have seen a United player walk off the field quickly and with no fuss
I can feel it in my water..we will win this one. Will be in complete contrast to the EPL game. Ironically we bombarded them but with no excitement or chances and they hung on.
I think we will lose but with a bit of luck we could win, although dont mind if we draw and get those ****s back to our place although I think we would lose that one.
basically your not quite sure are you??
Winning this is detrimental to their season and they start worrying about x amount of years & no trophy's...
It puts more pressure on their squad.......
We need to deny them another trophy opportunity or die trying!!!!!
We need to win this and then we can all start reflecting on a lovely couple of weeks and we can all get our no*s out and start waving them around!!!!!!!!!!
those saying they are meh about this will change their tune come 17:15 Saturday.

I think TS would see them as theyre there for the taking which I would agree with.
I don't think anyone is saying that we shouldn't try our hardest.
Not sure what you mean with the "die trying" bit, if you're implying that we should risk players that are carrying injuries I disagree. If you're saying that the players that are on the pitch have to do their absolute utmost I agree.
We're in a very good position though where losing this won't be disastrous. We're still in with a real shout for a top 4 finish, we're in the EL and will have a chance for a trophy even with a loss. It makes a potential defeat easier to take, at least for me. There was a time when a game like this was a "must win" as in the season would effectively be over at this stage if we didn't win.
I dont mean we should risk injured players of course....But our players should treat this as the fa cup final because of the quality of the opposition involved, yes I mean our players should try their utmost.
While I see the reason of your last paragraph I disagree with and would hate our players to even consider these thoughts.... winning breeds more confidence - builds momentum and may enable us to replicate what they did last season (put a long run of results together) we should not consider that defeat is acceptable in any way shape or form....not if we want to move forward and prove we are hungry winners and not bottlers that gets thrown at us...
I will always be gutted at losing to them....be it fa cup league league cup, champions league or a charity game or a game of tiddlywinks
We need a winning mentality from our players & our coaching staff.
yep I want us to give it our all and then some without the its ok if we lose mentality.
I don't disagree with any of that for us as fans, but to me if we can make this a close game that could go either way we'll have done really well. A that point it's at least partly down to luck or chance if we take our chances or they take their chances, if we make the telling mistake or they do, if the ref's decision goes their way or our way.
Thus I don't see it as a massive mentality issue if we don't win. Part of the mentality a professional team must have is accepting that sometimes it's not your day and you move on without letting it influence your next game. For me mental toughness comes from being prepared for all eventualities, not from some mythical "only winning is acceptable" approach. If a defeat is in fact unacceptable, what then if we actually do lose? What does that do to your self belief, your confidence etc.
