I agree with your analysis. Dele has been decent today but hasn't shown anything that we don't already know and isn't the solution.

You could potentially get him functioning at a high level if the quality of possession deeper improves. For me one of Ndombele or GLC need to play in the Sissoko/Winks berth. Winks today had been a bit of an indicator of what you would expect but at a higher level and with far more creativity and passing quality.
 
Think he took Dele off there for that one run where Moura just glued himself to the defender meaning Dele has to try and take the defender on and got tackled. Totally crap management for me.

And how does he throw on Sissoko for Moura instead of Vinicius? The lack of intent in he’s now operating in as the ‘norm’ is frightening.
