***OMT - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs. READING - OMT***

Still lots of possession, but other than the goal we haven't made too many good chances. We've been gifted a few good ones, and failed to score. But not carved out our own. Less convinced than AVB about our attacking line up.
 
How ever crap are Reading? Has to be one of the worse sides we've played in recent years.
No idea why we aren't attacking them, we should be 3 or 4 up by now.

I think that he could be devastating there if given licence to get forward. Bale is at his best with space to run into and it would be a lot harder for teams to double up on him if he played at full back.

i thought siggy was very good in the support plays (1-2s) and getting into positions as an auxilary striker (bale also seems to be doing this but worse).
 
Defoe is actually doing a decent job upfront on his own. Nice to see him coming deep and getting involved in play a lot more than he usually does.

Do I really need to explain how football is not as one-dimensional as start past halfway line = attacker, start behind = defender.

How do you propose we use Bale's best attributes (bursting past a defender) in a 4-3-3? Equally, how else do we solve the problem of him being triple marked all game?

In an ideal world where one defender lined up against each of our forwards I'd play Bale left wing too, but teams won't do that because they're not stupid. You can't triple mark a left back though.

Agreed. We should've killed off this match by now, just hope the players can grab a 2nd soon after the break so that we don't have another nervy end to a match and let slip another 3pts.

Bale needs to get back on the wings as it's too congested in the middle, maybe see Dempsey and Adebayor come on later if this game isn't done and dusted by the hour.
 
Sigurdsson has been absolutely wretched.
I would like to know who watched/scouted him.
I'm sure he looks good on a highlights reel or Match of the Day but other than his shooting/dead ball kicks he offers nothing.
He looks like a Championship player at best and i always wondered why a Bundesliga team outed him on loan.
 
Sigurdsson with the pass of the game for our goal, keep slagging him off and maybe we'll get another.
 
To be honest, other than that brilliant ball inside the full back (edit: and that header early on), I haven't noticed Siggy much. Why do people think he isn't up to it.

Thats pretty harsh. He's just a kid whose played three games and was today involved in a sweet move that lead to a goal. Having said that i'd be tempted to give Dempsey a run out in his place at some point this half. I certainly wouldnt go two up top. If Ade comes on it should be as a straight swap for Defoe.

I think since we scored we have just sat back. Its been AVBs plan for the last two games. I think we look so so much better attacking wise hence just attack
