not what i saw - we're lacking some cutting edge in the final 3rd but we have been on the front for most the half
I think we've been expecting teams to open up more when we go ahead. They're not doing it though, so holding the ball and waiting for them to commit isn't working.
Partly I suspect that's because they know that if they let us play it around for long enough either Friedel or Gallas will eventually hoof it.

Looking good but the left side/Naughton seem to worry me. Naughton is lunging in a bit too much and giving away silly fouls. Luckily they have the same cant clear first man syndrome we have but I fear if we dont sort it out then it will cost us eventually. Bale seems to be caught between positions as well.

Yeah maybe so we have been counter attacking i suspect. the thing is we should be just attack them and score the goals. One goal is never enough we need two or three then id be happy to sit back. Thats why the United of this world are more successful.

Every time I think he is going to hoik Defoe off and just do a like for like, but then he leaves Defoe on and goes 4-4-2 (and we score). It's almost as if he decided before the game started (I shouldn't think he did -but i do find it a bit strange)
Not sure that he has gone 4-4-2 every game but might be wrong....the west brom game when it was 0-0 he did. My impression of his substitutions has been that they've been quite conservative

Lets not forget that its nearly a month since Reading last played in the league due to their game called off against Sunderland.
