OMT - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Man U

Does anyone else feel very empty after that result? Not happy, not too disappointed either, just empty.

It wasn't a superb performance, but at least we showed some enthusiasm today. I hope we can bring the same attitide now into games against lesser teams. I think that is something which is lacking massively. I know games are different when we face teams who sit back and defend from the first minute, but we need to go out all guns blazing much more often. On the other hand, we also need to keep cool heads in important situations. We failed to do that after the second goal today. Too much adrenaline, it seemed.

mate i've just seen it again and it was a clear penalty. Lloris arm clips Welbeck...it was stupid and rash but Lloris has saved us a lot of times coming out so can't really moan.

I don't know what the **** people are expecting?
Its United we were playing. Surely they should be happy with the tempo and commitment.
We bullied United out there today and were only outdone by individual errors.
Best performance of the season as far as I'm concerned.

We might have looked brighter than the average team we have been up against,and deserved to win, but like I said we are so used to dull performances that if you think that was a good performance fair play to you. I think it was well average usual defensive mistakes and hardly a decent chance created all game and when we do our striker cant finish it. So to me an average performance. If you think that was a good performance fair play to you. I actually hate the negativity that comes from these forums but I cant dress an average performance up to something it wasn`t. Better than some recent performances but still average imho

Mate? it wasn't an unfair pen? it was a clear pen? how many times have you watched the incident?

Imo he got the ball as well, but really not needed, it was his mistake, I agree. Still think it was harsh.

This is a UTD side who are no great shakes especially with RVP missing. I think they were there for the taking. I am happy with the result, the performance was better but lets not kid ourselves this is the same utd side that fergie has been bringing to the lane for the last few years.

i do wish Jake twuntphreys would shut his cakehole......keeps going on about Spurs being so low in the table, but we are only 1 place and 1 point behind Utd and yet he doesnt even mention anything about that

I thought it was a pen but coulda gone either way. Owen alluded to it but Welbeck did what Lennon shoulda done i.e. take an extra touch.

On another point - I thought the ref was very ****ing good today.

really don't think we should use that as an excuse. chiriches was there and the ball was going away from goal. loris looked too gung ho for his own good.
