Did you notice we had nobody on the post when they had a corner? Everyone was looking at each other quizically, then Soldado trudged vaguely in that direction without interest. On the next corner he again stood somewhere towards the post but also trying to play offside somehow. Next time AVB was shouting at him and he went near the post.

Eventually shi.t like that will come back to haunt us, not setting up properly at all and someone like Jones or Vidic will just hammer a header into that corner and Soldado will look like Bambi.

I don't think we will rest in this game much, unless we have the lead and the game in coming to the end. These are precisely the sort of games where we play quick football with high intensity - exactly what I've been saying.

My only worry is we didn't keep it up against Chelsea after a good first half and not taking our chances. We may see something similar here.
 
It just goes to show you what dross we have become used to at WHL over the past year. We score a free kick that probably every other defence in the league would have blocked dont look like we will score from open play in a million years(hope i am wrong) defence gift them a goal and apart from about a 10 minute spell have looked very ordinary, then when we concede we seem to fall back deep and end the half actually fortunate to go in at half time drawing.

Hope we blitz them second half but from the performance so far I cant see it

Tim Howard said as much. He would never ask his wall to jump that high when the free kick is so close to goal.
 
We had nobody on the post again at that corner. Oh dear me AVB. I thought he was the most prepared manager ever?

Nothing lucky about it, I said it was a **** wall. Walker rarely tries to dip his fks over the wall, he smashes them. He was also quite close to the goal. A dipped fk from Walker in that position that would have troubled DDG would have been a miracle. We all knew what he was going to do, so should they.

Nit picking of course but that's what you do at the top level.

Nothing wrong with the fk itself.
 
United have moved Wellbeck upfront and kawawa wide.
BT will notice in 15 minutes.

This should be trouble for Dawson and Chiriches
