So if we had held on against West Ham at home and not had that ridiculous equalizer conceded at home to Saudi Sportswashing Machine and held on to get one more win rather than concede silly equalizers we would be on 68 points and 4th. I know that's a lot of ifs BUT how would we feel then about the team - having got fourth? Hypothetical I know - from this desk I would still think that the team needs a big overhaul - especially in defence, but Levy would then not have agreed and been happy enough with CL football.
So in some ways it might be better that we have ended up 7th as Levy cannot now say the team is capable of challenging for honours.

Have to say today was quite surprising considering I don't think we've pulled any games around this season. Showed a but of backbone for the first time in a while.

It helps that although Mason is kinda clueless he he does have a positive approach to the game. He wants to score goals, he wants to play good football. I think that approach unburdens the players and gives them license to play as opposed to Jose's approach. Even though Jose actually gives the attacking players a lot of freedom.

Those two losses to villa and leeds the difference between CL.

At least a rousing end to the season.

Such fine margins.

If we could have just eked out 25% of those points dropped from winning positions… a bit more positivity, a bit more belief, a bit more luck.

Not to mention a slew of strange on-pitch and VAR decisions that went against us.

For all the managerial turmoil and poor play, perhaps it’s not such a huge overhaul that we need to get back into the top four. A couple of quality additions and some proper organization could do it.

Only things that didn’t surprise me....
Vardy cheating
And Alan smith showing massive bias towards his old club

Denied the Scum and the Plastic Clappers, sadly helped Cheatski in the process.

I hope Ropey Conference qualifying doesn't start next Wednesday.

5th Aug I think (final qualifying round)...

Edit: actually the top 5 countries go straight to the pre-group playoff 19th August.

we did turn it around, but Schmeichel throwing one in his own net was a massive momentum change and psychological blow to them
