I think that once again, we need to stretch pitches more before we thrust Lamela into the hole…remember, he will likely check inside anyway, so he will have a chance to be a force. Left isn't ideal, but he did have an oen chance within 10 minutes the last time he played there…COYS

Agree. I fancied this as the match for Soldado to hit a brace and kick-start his career.

I don't know. We don't really have great creativity in midfield with Dembele either, but at least he is comfortable on the ball. Capoue has actually shown an ability to hit decent forward passes from that position, but his passing has also been quite inconsistent.

I am not sure about Lamela on the left. He is not really the type to go on the outside and put crosses in, and when cutting inside he will be less efficient because he's on his weaker foot. I would personally have liked to see Townsend on that side for a change. Call me old-fashioned but I prefer it when we play with a bit of width. Because of that I hope Lennon plays on the right and Lamela on the left, because at least it means we have width on one flank.

Capoue's more forward thinking and a better ball player than Dembele IMO.

Think it will be detrimental to Lamela's career here if he use him on the wrong side again at this stage. Needs gain some confidence in his proper position (the right)
