OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Wolves ** 29 December 2024.

Personally, and I may get slatted for this, but we are no where near the top 4 even though at times we play some decent stuff going forward When we go forward because let’s be honest against Paace, Ipswich, Bournemouth we were shocking.
At the moments when people say you should be beating teams like Wolves and Fulham I’m like “why” what makes you think Spurs can beat these teams? We are in a scrap now for sure and I’m behind the team and think we will finish 8th or 9th in reality

oh its definitely partly on Rodgers

Brenton might be about to complete another unbeaten domestic treble in Scotland (Celtic lost 3 SPL games when Postecoglou won his treble there) but only has an FA Cup to show for his tenures south of the border.

I’d be content if Postecoglou could match that haul whilst at Spurs tbh as can’t see us assembling a squad with sufficient quality to play Angeball twice a week and suspect he’d be better suited to €helsea where he’d have a vast squad of seasoned internationals to rotate between so their hamstrings wouldn’t be a worry.

You’re going to watch a game though and it’s finely poised at 2-1 or 2-2. Don’t get why you’d leave.
Each to their own. I don’t blame anyone for leaving early. I don’t blame anyone for booing at the end (note: not DURING the game). Like I said, each to their own. I stayed until the end for some reason. It was a waste of time. Again. That’s why people are leaving. They have had enough. They see Son starting every game and know what’s going to happen before kick off. They know what fhe post match comments will be. It’s painful. But it’s moderately less painful if you beat the rush at the end.

comms was wrong, I've never seen anyone sent off for that unless they were the last person

The commentary were speaking about the VAR discussions that they have access to, but they are wrong, are you suggesting they misheard? I'm not really sure if I want you to answer, this is absolutely my fault for engaging.

It's one of those tackles that if you showed a still shot of, it looks like an absolute assault. The player was lucky to not have his ankle planted at the time. They were in their own half, it wasn't that dangerous of a tackle, Bentancur has just got a taste for time off and saw his opportunity.

Thought you meant the TV commentary.

So if VAR looked at it, and didn’t upgrade it, it was a yellow right?

Like I said.

currently we are a mid table team. And if we cant beat teams like Wolves, ipswich, leicester then we will finish the league in the bottom half. In the past, looking at our next 6 fixture I would have confidently said we would win most (especially home games) and maybe get a few draws but with our current form I have little faith

Thats how bad we are. Lets see what reinforcements we get in January and maybe luck our way to a cup final.

But it's a pub league remember, I mean that is one of the criticism aimed at ange isn't it?
So what kind of results are you expecting a pub league team to have in Europe?

It is - which is why I didn’t think he was a good choice. I got behind him and the team, because they are my team and I want them to do well, but it was pretty clear to me from March onwards this year that it was unlikely to work, unfortunately.

He wasn’t able to overcome the odds in Europe to perform decently with Celtic; haven’t seen any signs over the last year to say it will be different here.

Who is disputing whether it was given as a yellow or not, Jesus fudging christ I swear this place is making me dumber every day via digital osmosis.

It was close to the threshold of being upgraded according to commentary, who are able to listen in to VAR discussions. I don't know how else to word it.

Yep. Leaving those extra 5 or 10 mins early can make a massive difference when you are driving back a distance. For us staying until the final whistle used to mean getting home an extra 1 1/2 - 2 hours later because you were stuck in the car park in all the queues getting out of Haringay.

When you're winning and playing well that drive home is fine and you're buzzing, if you are enduring the drivel we are seeing these days, its a horrible drive home and being sat in the car in traffic mulling it over listening to 5Live is numbing

Judged it perfectly then didn’t he.

Better a yellow than a goal.

Tamworth win? You reckon?

I think the target now are the cups and maybe clip a conference spot în the league. If we don't win anything this year or a heavy increase în form în the second part of the season then I fear for Ange's place.
