So who had Llorente in the starting lineup today?

No many, I think.

Guess its a 4-2-3-1: Lloris - Aurier, Toby, Davinson, Vertonghen - Dier, Winks - Sissoko, Kane, Eriksen - Llorente
 
That's an interesting team. A diamond in midfield to match up with Real's diamond? I would have thought that Son's pace on the break could have been useful in a game like this though. It's a fairly slow team.

I said he might come in handy, as he's played a lot of games vs Real Madrid, and has 8 goals in 20 against them. Didn't think he'd start though.
 
Return to 4-2-3-1. Need to be clever defending, great players they may have but they are quite partial to throwing themselves around.

I love Son but he looked out on his feet on Saturday. Int'l breaks are pretty exhausting for him I think.

Also, Llorente has experience of this type of game.
 
Llorente? Never saw that in a million years. Sehr sehr intriiiging.

EDIT: Just noticed that Moussa D. isn't even on the bench. Are we thin, or what?! If we get a result, man that would be even more sweeter.

Fears of the FA Cup semi final all over again.... Why does Poch change a winning formation just because an injured player.

FFS I would rather play Walker Peters at LWB and keep the trusted three at the back. Sanchez looked lost in a back 4 on Saturday...

Hope they make me eat my words, now....
 
Could be the 532/352 with Sissoko and Eriksen supporting Winks. Surely not and not exactly how I dreamt up a meeting with Madrid.
 
Interesting selection from Poch -- think we'll be playing more direct and crossing it a fair bit?

We played a 442 under Poch at Arsenal away a couple of years back iirc, Chadli and Kane used as a strike pair.

I can't wait for kickoff, COYS!

To be fair, this is sort of a gimme of a fixture overall - no-one expects us to win, and losing at the Bernabeu won't really dent morale too much given that it's, y'know, the Bernabeu.

Might as well experiment here as opposed to a game we're expected to win.
