Marmoush is our striker now and not having a striker I don't think has been an issue today. We've had chances and not taken them Solanke or Richy on the pitch aren't helping those moments.

Most of the pro using attacks failed at Tel's feet. A more traditional striker wouldn't have made those situations play out any differently.

It’s a tactical choice
Issue is
If you have CBS who are there to pass
You need a target to pass too
 
It’s just one more game with a team full of new players and players that have come back from injury trying to play a system we haven’t really played before. X player’s ability to not do Y is not why we lose today, so no point making a meal out of either, in my opinion.

Give it time. We’ve seen glimpses today, in my opinion. We’ll come good.

And that is the issue
He isn’t a CF
He can’t deal with big men leaning on him so he comes deep
We then have no one to pass too for these super duper play out of the back players

The pressure will be massive though
And this is a manager who will make everyone aware of what he think

Sure but we actually had attacks of promise and quality today and they didn't fail because of a lack of striker. They failed because Tel was rubbish and lost the ball easily or failed at beating his man. If he was half decent today we probably score from at least one of those attacks, traditional striker or no traditional striker.

No striker wasn't the issue today, we had the attacks and we had the chances.
