OMT ***Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United***

It has been an even game that we well deserved a point out of - no need to rewrite the pattern of the game because of a poor moment in conceding the goal

No. Second half, we were second to *everything* - a point would have been one we would have been relieved by, which doesn't suggest an even game.

Rewriting the pattern of the game this way is disingenuous as well. We were well-beaten. The goal was coming.

Whenever we are under a bit of pressure and there’s a few bouncing balls, we flap like fck. This was happening for some time before Diers error. It happens so often, sliced clearances, silly lunges. We seem to concede a lot this way, or that’s how it appears to me (not checked the stats..)

Utd didn’t have their first XI out. Difference is they know how to win these games.

Agree on the nous side of things but the reality of our budget is very different to them missing pogba and their subs that earn more than the best striker
in the prem. Even with all that superior resourcing they barely worked lloris and got lucky with a ball over the top.

We were never favourites to win that game but hopefully we'll get a bit of luck at the Bridge or the Emirates which will mean more to our fans.

Nonsense it wasn't coming at all and we weren't well beaten - they were gifted a goal through an uncharacteristic lapse in concentration and otherwise had a bit of bluster with naff all tangible to show for it

Ha...it’s funny, after a frustrating loss I’m always pretty annoyed, but reading the match threads for those games just makes me happier again.

We were decent first half and had the chance of the game in the second. The point is, you’ll never get many chances against a Mourinho side, because he is a boring, reactive coach. So if you create one that is absolutely clear cut, you have to take it.

Conversely, they won’t create that many either, and the game is probably going to be quite boring. What you absolutely cannot do, is give them the goal that we did. Unbelievably bad, and as Neville said, so unlike us under Poch. If all of our players think they are big club, 200k a week worthy then they need to win these games, or at the very least come off the pitch proud of what they’ve done. They can’t be proud of that goal. Awful.

With that said, we’ll be fine. Games against Mourinho are always tight. He got the luck today, Alli missing and then their goal. I still think we can finish above them this year. Man for Man id still have our players. Let’s not over react.

B*llocks. We were weak in that second half- switched off, ponderous, slow. And that goal was coming - we cannot afford to be that way against a Mourinho side, since they take advantage of the chances that we would miss or give up.

Again, rewriting the game to be some sort of even matchup is pointless. Maybe first half that was the case - second half was 100% United's.

Big chance for Alli. I think his reaction showed he thought he should have scored.

Fell asleep for the goal. We need to be more alert.
in these tight games, its the fine lines that makes a difference indeed - i always believe that

we are at a level now where we are one of the big guns - we don't concede often, or much, and we can beat anyone

very, very tight game
