Surely a system brought in to minimise refereeing errors should be able to look at free kicks within its remit. Especially ones that lead to goal scoring opportunities.

We just have to wait until Arse, Manure or Liverpool suffers from it and makes a big brickshow about it. Then they'll change it.

I hate the fact that the ref “sets the bar” by not giving Solanke a cheap free kick in the middle of the field. But then he gives first a soft one on the corner and the another one leading to the goal..

I don't really agree. I haven't seen any real lack of effort from the players or the leadership group in particular. I've seen lots of poor performances, stupid decisions and just our right brick play, but not a lack of effort.

So basically quite like Tel.

It’s why I think we’ve done ok in Europe. We’ve been fairly reffed and not constantly pulled back for all manor of things during play and then there’s also the big decisions.

For as long as I can remember in the league this season refs have given pretty much everything against us and there’s been nothing said. We’re a very easy team to referee ‘against’.

That’s one of the benefits of paying big money for a known manager and some experience on field. All of a sudden officials become accountable.
