***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United, Mon May 11th, 8pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

Morning after the night before. Still gutted but we’re in the driving seat. So many conflicting feelings, so many permutations. It’s pure theatre but I’d much rather we weren’t the subject of it as last night was horrible and the wait until Sunday and Tuesday will be just as horrible. My heart tells me that Spurs have done just enough to get in a position to not only go down but to be tagged bottlers if we do (“two points clear with two games to go”). My head tells me we’re in a good position. Wish I listened to my head more. I guess 40 years of experience takes its toll.

West Ham have to win a game or they are down. I think they probably will and they could win two but there is still massive pressure on them. We win and draw a game and we are safe. So it’s on us to do our bit starting with a win at Chelsea.

Yeah I know. One win in 36 years and all that. But we don’t have the luxury of writing any game off. There’s no reason we cannot beat Chelsea. We’re poor but they are dogbrick too. What a great way to escape the drop too.

Positive vibes everyone. We need them. I cannot imagine this club or that stadium in The Championship but it is a possibility. It’s still in our hands though - let’s stuff those classless, lottery winning, racist clams in their own back yard on Tuesday. COYS

Still fuming! Yet another addition to the catalog of decisions going against us this season!! They spent 5 minutes looking at the Leeds penalty, which was CRYSTAL CLEAR, and even Stewie could see that's a penalty within 5 seconds. Yet when it was the other way, check was over within 2 seconds!!

BTW, let's just be clear. That was a penalty at the end. Gilet bottled making the call, and VAR bottled bringing him to the monitor. Both Robinson and Owen explained the reasons why it was a pen perfectly.
I am sure @Muttley is non-plussed and I would again agree that it is the latest in a sea of awful decisions in the game generally this season.
What was the rationale they offered Steff? I didn’t think it was in the stadium and still don’t think it was having seen the replay.

Being an official right now is brick. I’m seeing all sorts of posts today about how they are trying to keep us in the league. “The offside that wasn’t”, “all those added minutes”, “the disallowed West Ham goal”. There is no conspiracy but for any subjective decision, officials get hammered by 50% of the people. Guess this is what happens in a world where people seem to be entitled to their own facts.

Appreciate the positivity and I'm on board. However, I will say - West Ham could definitely win both of their games. Saudi Sportswashing Machine are brick, West Ham are a top six team since Nuno took over and I don't see them losing three on the bounce.

The question for me is whether they get 1 point or 3. If they win, I'm going to feel uncomfortable. I actually feel we could get a point at Chelsea, but not confident about our home game at all. If the Hammers only get a point and then I think we will deliver. It's certainly squeaky bum time :)....

I think we have to assume West Ham win both their games. That’s certainly what RDZ should be telling the players. They are actually a decent side from what I’ve seen recently. It’s on us to help ourselves. That means a win and a draw minimum from the last two games. It’s going to take some balls and character from our lot but if you want to achieve anything in elite level sport you have to show that at some stage and not wait for the other team to fudge up.

We know what we have to do so let’s go do it. If we don’t, it’s in the lap of the gods and we’ll deserve to go down if we do.

They need to get back to basics. 2 footed tackles on biss was deemed not to be a red. Gabriel using his head to Haaland wernt a red. Being pushed in the back by Kolo is a foul and so goal doesnt stand.
Being thrown to the ground in the city game isnt a pen.
Rice manhandled someone and handball. Wasnt given.

Chelsea against Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Blatant pen wasn't given.

But burn hands around bents was given?.All of arsenal goals and blocking people off at corners are fine. But not when its against them its not.

Drags being pushed against fulham and goal stands. Clear and obvious takes 5min to decide.

Its a page full of these errors every week which is why I moan. And you have replays and you still get it wrong? Then PGMOl admit wrong doing. And we move on

If people cant get what a headbutt is then nothing is getting better.
It actually makes me not want to watch any games let alone ours. I may just start watching European football. I dont think its as bad there?

Don't see us beating Everton.

Really disappointing, we really have no quality going forward. Again I don't fault the effort but we created nothing, did their goalie even make a save.

I think the Maddison one was a pen, what a ridiculous rule that if you get the tiniest touch of the ball you're free to take someone out in the box, it would be a foul anywhere else on the pitch. I'm sick of these stupid decisions and not just because it's us, in general the standards are so poor. Every week there's a howler.
But pretty sure that rule would be ignored if we wiped out a Leeds player

it feels worse this morning but still have it in our hands just need to win against Chelsea  and Everton at home. but I feel the absolute dross we have up front will take us down.

Maddison back is huge for us. Adds a bit of guile. Even the pen shout, he was willing to take responsibility in the box and go at someone.

Could also see him geeing up other lads and consoling Gallagher at one point. He could be a difference maker.

hopefully. next game is crucial. just need West Ham to lose or draw for it to still be in our hands

Last night was the best and dumbest of Tel. I do think we were in control until that penalty. Yes they had the ball more in the second half but I didn't think they were going to score until that penalty.

Kinsky is class. Omg those saves but I don't brick my pants anymore when our goalie has the ball at his feet. Love him

We go again. Play the same and I think we get 3 or 4 points.

We have to beat Chelsea. The good thing for us is that's not a Chelsea anymore. We just need to play.

Why all the negativity folks? I thought we played ok yesterday but for a clinical finisher. Richy was having one of those games that make him such an inconsistent striker. But for the most part we harried and pressed an in form Leeds side. From where we were a few weeks ago to where we are now is night and day! FWIW I think West Ham will get a draw away at Poocastle so we need at least 2 draws which we are perfectly capable of ( I believe we will win at least one of those). Plus it was fudging great to see Madders back. I think that will lift the players. Could do with Solanke back but I guess that is not going to happen.

We still had chances, Richy had one at least where RKM played it across to him, we had a few half chances from snap shots in the box.

We’re lacking so much quality though. I’d replace the entire front line - RKM looks to be a player who is highly rated by some due to playing in Ligue 1 and a sub standard compared to the past Serie A. Not prem quality at all for me.obviously for now, the injuries mean we can’t.

Good to see Maddison back, maybe he can pull something out the bag in a sub appearance to get us over the line.

I’d take a point against Chelsea now tbh as don’t see us getting anything there as usual. We need Saudi Sportswashing Machine to beat West Ham so bad.
I think our survival unfortunately rests on Saudi Sportswashing Machine beating Wham, which I think is a real flip of a coin, depending on which Saudi Sportswashing Machine team turn up
