Usual Spurs brick .. all of this is because the ref/VAR bottled the call in the FA Cup game at home against City where they blatantly fouled Vic (two years ago?).

And by refusing to admit it was a mistake, they let more and more slide until Arteta just made this brick his plan A
 
Massive game. We win and we are within touching distance of safety.

However, the situation is still precarious. If we lose, West Ham could easily win their final two which leaves us needing to beat Chelsea away and Everton at home. There is a long way to go yet.

Narrative at the end of the night will be "Spurs are gonna be fine" or "They're bang in trouble. They've only beaten a Wolves side who were down and a Villa side who didn't try while West Ham look in good form".

It's not quite "must win" but it's as close as you can get to it.

I am writing West Ham v Leeds off as a guaranteed home win. I am just praying Saudi Sportswashing Machine dont lose, I could live with that being a draw.

That 11 goal buffer in the GD worth an extra point to us. As mentioned yesterday I really believe 3 more points will be enough, and hopefully will get all of those three points tonight
 
The aging Astra was in the garage for a thorough health check at the weekend, so it was a good excuse to book today off just in case it had to stay in.
But I am not sure I would fully concentrate on work today anyway.

Such is the knee jerking from the media, we can’t be far away from RDZ is a genius and Spurs are back. Prob another 4 points would do it (then they can knock us down all over again)
 
If West Ham perform to the level they did against the Goons there is every chance they could beat a pretty poor and 'on the beach' Saudi Sportswashing Machine side. A big way to reduce the chances of that happening is to win tonight, if we draw or lose that will give them a bit of belief they can still survive - And if that happens there is big pressure on our game at Chelsea.

Win tonight and psychologically it's a massive blow for them and even if they win there I would fancy us to get the minimum two points required. Would be amazing to finally get a league home win, its been way too long - December 6th, fudge me. COYS....

The swings in feelings and opinions in this relegation race have been eye opening for me. From "we're too far clear to be dragged in" in Jan/Feb to "oh f**k, we're in trouble" in March to "it's over, we are down" in April before "we're gonna be safe" last week.

It's mad and I've been guilty of it too. But, objectively, we're in a very dangerous position and Leeds have not lost in the league since March 3rd while we haven't won at home since December. Emotion has really driven the narrative for fans (of all persuasions) and pundits over the last few months.

I'd take any sort of win tonight. If we don't win, this is going right to the wire.

This. I dont see us winning at Chelsea, so if we dont win tonight its definitely going to the last day
 
As much as I didn't want Arsenal to win the league I hope the atmosphere isn't dampened tonight because of the fact they look very likely to win it.

I know it shouldn't of course but we are the fan base that wanted City to beat us in Ange's first season when at thar point we still had a chance of qualifying for the Champions League 🤣 it was such a strange atmosphere at the ground that night. Some fans were actively getting angry that we weren't simply rolling over for City.

This is a completely different scenario of course. This game is all about us. Hope the place is rocking.

I’m with you. Was confident after last week’s result but as we’ve gotten closer to kick off I’m getting more nervous. First time since August we had back to back wins. Would we need to go further back for the last time we had back to back good performances?

If we can match the intensity and desire of what we saw at Villa Park I think we’re capable of winning. But it is by no means a given

If we get relegated, I'd half-expect an article along the lines of 'The reason Spurs are going down and why we've all been hoping so long that they get what they deserve"
 
I had an Everton fan on my team call this morning saying we're a nothing club that is and always is terrible to watch

I said remind me how many times have Everton been in the CL in the last 15 years

Saw a stat a while back that this century, Everton are the only club of the 92 that have not had anything to celebrate. They haven't won a trophy or haven't had a promotion.

I have a soft spot for Everton and they have great history but if any club is a nothing club, it's them right now.
 
Within a season of terrible luck there's a few morsels of better luck coming our way. Nothing major but they all help.

Scheduling. By chance... Villa were in a EL semi the weekend before we played them.
Leeds are safe the day before we play them. On balance imo this is a benefit.
Chelsea (who are handily also in a brick storm of a mess) have a Cup final 3 days before we play them .

The schedule has also given us good rest and training time between Villa.....Leeds....Chelsea.

Two night games are better for running your arse off as well (I know it's not got hot, but it could have)
