OMT *** TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR V IPSWICH TOWN *** Sun 10th Nov, 14:00 BST, The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

I don't know a Spurs fan who doesn't wish Dr Tottenham would fudge off. Problem is he keeps turning up, Palace being the latest patient who received treatment :D....

Palace are a good team, they were desperate for their first win. We were brick but was it Dr Arsenal at Bournemouth? Dr Liverpool when Forest beat them at Anfield?

It’s a coping mechanism, I get it…but I can’t stand it.

Debate and self-deprecating humour on a football forum. Who’d have thunk it?

Right up there with the discovery that bears defecate in the woods and the Pope announcing himself to be a member of the Catholic faith.

Debate good, ranting bad, even a good joke gets stale after a while.

Great weekend for Massimo Luongo. Gotta love the romance of football.

As a talented ball playing kid, didn't make it into our first team, but had a couple of decent loans at Ipswich and Swindon. Moved to Swindon permanently, where I saw him play live. Very tidy player. Then QPR, Sheff Weds, Boro and back to Ipswich last year where he had his first ever loan. 45 caps for Australia including playing under Ange.

As a 32 year old, he now finally gets to come back to WHL. That's where his UK adventure all began for him when he moved from Oz to North London all those years ago.

Well yeah, we all know that every team no matter how good has lost to a brick team - and we all know more often than not we will beat teams we expect to.

Unfortunately we don't do ourselves any favours at times, and it's just a bit of lightheartedness that I can afford a chuckle at when I see someone mention.....

I don't see that much ranting on here - most of what there is is in the Politics thread (and most of that comes from one individual).

As long as the team keep providing the material for the Doctor Tottenham tag then I'm afraid that it probably won't be going anywhere (either on here, or more widely) - a bit like Fergie Time for United back in the day, Chelski during their previous ownership, and Boring Arsenal during George Graham's time.

I know have a sense of humour. Stop being triggered by such trivial things.

I hear ya. But those teams win things. Aaah to be able to look back at 20yrs and just to accomplish one thing that they had would be a delight

That's a great story, and so are the odds of him scoring tomorrow.

Do you remember Spurșy or Doctor Tottenham being a thing before around 2015? No, neither do I. It has nothing to do with the success of a team, and everything to do with social media turning everything into a narrative.

I said in the Ange thread how he gave me one of the best nights of my life…a big part of that is Massimo Luogno. Scored the first goal right on half time, from 30 yards out. Player of the Tournament in that Asian Cup. Love him

Give it up.

I try to debate, but all i get its petty page after page of insults, slurs, and insinuation.

Don't blame for you not being able to cope with some who's opinions are different from yours.

It's as sad as it is pathetic.

And the same people do the same stuff in the football threads slurring and insulting those pointing out done serious flaws with spurs.

You don't debate, you just slur an insult.

The people who derail threads are the likes of you.

And as for this game... no idea, as i have go no idea what spurs will turn up, because for the last 30 league games we have and won and lost roughly 50/50 and it's exactly the same problems, from exactly the same players.

That's the problem. You don't try to debate, perhaps because you lack the capability. What you generally write is semi-hysterical nonsense, which annoys folk. Rather than saying to a poster on here that they are sad or pathetic, try reining yourself in a little. Or use humour. If you can't do either, please do us all a favour and find another MB on which to vent your spleen.
